January 25-27, 2013-The Blue Max is a friendly adjudicated competition and fun fly for any aircraft between 1903-1919, Anyone interested in early aviation or has the passion for early flight, will feel right at home attending this event. Four classes: ARF, BALSA USA, SCRATCH BUILT, KIT BUILT. Join us at Sanford Aeromodelers Club and help us celebrate the heroics and heroism of the men who flew these magnificent machines. Friday open flying all day, Saturday & Sunday Open flying all day. Awards banquet Saturday evening for static awards, best Allied & German forces. Blue Max & Pilot's Choice Awards given out at banquet Saturday night as well. 24 hour security will be available from Thursday 3:00pm-Sunday morning.
