Comments:   I have never dealt with such a incompetent uncooperative lying individual as this. He sent me a invoice which I paid the same day (yes it was some time after the deal was accepted but it was paid the moment I got the invoice). After that it was all BS. Lied to me telling me it was shipped and it was not. Never sent the proof of shipping no matter how many time I asked for it. Would not return calls or emails. This went on for 2 months. Never manned up and called to talk directly about what was going on. Yes there was a point at which I thought I had been swindled. When it finally arrived the packing job was pathetic, fortunately nothing was damaged. I don't care how many good transactions this individual has had, he showed his true colours in dealing with this as poorly as he did. Ignoring your buyer and not supplying them with important information that lets them know the item they purchased is on its way is no way to do business even if this is just a hobby. He still fails to understand after all that's transpired that "all of this" could have been avoided if he simply kept his word. 22Jul10 Yes there was a request that the product not be shipped for a week or so as we were both out of town. this was agreed upon mutually. Yes Payment was made late but it was made immediately upon my being told of this error. What he again fails to inform you about is that things only went bad when he started making promises he could not keep or would not. I accepted and understood his explanation that someone he entrusted to take care of it messed up. But then he makes promises and tells me directly it was shipped when he new very well it hadn't been. Also promising to send shipping info which he never did despite repeated requests. Your word is your bond and this simple fact continues to allude him. He broke this bond plain and simple. After the product arrived the shipping label attached to the box clearly shows when it was originally shipped, this date was a week and a half past the the recorded date I had from him declaring the package was shipped. A bold face lie. He still denies this. This is the type of BS I will not stand for on principal alone. This and his refusal to send shipping confirmation is the reason for the bad feedback. There is no place for dishonesty and of this I will make you all aware. He continues to lie to you the RCU members by listing information to the contrary. Use your best judgment if you are contemplating dealing with him, but note when reading this, I do not think this Gentleman to be a bad person I have simply stated what happened to me and how he did not live up to his word regardless of the final outcome. And he's upset at the outcome he created. Oh well. 30Jul10 Yes the comments are freedom of speech Gary and you are entitled to them just as I am entitled to edit mine. I have every email sent and you never once sent tracking information or proof of shipping. Accept the mess you made and move on.
Rebuttal:  This is the 8th time this person has edited his post, knowing full well it erases my rebuttal. How can he still have any flame left in him. He has called me a liar, declaring by some miraculous vision from hundreds of miles away what I knew, and when I knew it, and then proceeded to build this sinister plot that I intentionally screwed with him, over a stupid airplane. I'll not admit to something I did not do, no matter how hard he tries to bully me into it. Yes, let the reader use discernment. If you deal with this person, it better go like clockwork, or you will see his dark side as I have. Again, he asked to have shipping delayed in the beginning, when I had plenty of time on my hands. When it had been a couple weeks, and I was getting busy at work, I emailed him to see what was up, as I still hadn't been paid either. He said he "forgot", and paid right away. I shipped part of it right away (the box that could go USPS), but the huge box had to go Greyhound. I farmed this out because I was busy, and it didn't go well. I apologized several times and finally decided to refund him all his shipping ($65) as a piece offering. It didn't work. He is one stubborn paranoid, who would rather hurl accusations of dishonesty, than just be patient and let Greyhound do their thing. They took weeks instead of days, but it did arrive, in tact (by his admission), as described (by his admission), and free of shipping fees. Things didn't go as I would have liked, and I hate to leave a fellow modeler unhappy, but this guy is impossible to appease. I apologized, did get him his stuff, and paid the freight. I ask anyone, what more can I do? He is just unrelenting in his refusal to let this be done. Apparently, he dishes it out much better than he takes it. He says I "fail to realize". I think I realize every part of this debacle. But in the final analysis, he got his stuff, and for less than he even expected, so why the crying over spilled milk? It is over, and that is that. Nothing more to do here. Thanks for the memories. Moving on. In all my years of doing business on RCU and other sites, I would have never thought to do this to another modeler who came through with what I purchased.

Poor 07/12/2006 Item ID: 159627 S. Shumate designed F-5/T38 F-14 F-15 F-18 (ARF or RTF, your choice)
Comments:  overall construction build was good, defect during shipment, though - paint wrinkled. but could never get a good flight. tried several time to rebalance - reset ailerons to compensate rolling right. always would roll hard right (crash) a TOTAL of 3 times - cant bare enough glue already - I've givin-up, i feel that shouldnt have to pay for shipping back to Origin. to solve matters...50ft is the farthest it ever flew...(F-5)
Rebuttal:  This plane was shipped in sub-zero weather just after paint. He sent me pictures and iut obviously didn't look the same as it did when I shipped it. I was not happy either and offered to take it back fix it. He said he would just fly it the way it was. The maiden didn't go well, but that was all I have heard. I still would like it back to check it out and make it right. It is hard to tell hundreds of miles away, what the problem is. Could it have been repaired with a twist or warp in it? Just can't tell from here. This person was great to build for and so enthusiastic about the plane. I am very disappointed that this has been a bad experiance for him. While I can not be sure of someones flying skills, the planes I build should be flyable and I will guarentee that. That is only fair, given the investment. I still am willing to make this right if only I am given the chance.
