*I have written the monthly "FF Sport" column in Flying Models magazine for 36 years, have won 11 National Championship trophies, and was inducted into the National Free Flight Hall of Fame in 2005.
*I am currently the Associate Editor of the National Free Flight Society Digest.
*I have designed and published over 50 original designs (FF, R/C, C/L) in Flying Models, Model Aviation, and Model Airplane news.
*I have recently done product reviews of the ParkZone "Ember"(Dec. '08) the E-Flite "Blade mCX" (April '09) and will be doing the review of the Great Planes "Escapade" in Flying Models (May or June '09).
*I have published over 600 articles in modeling magazines including Flying Models, Model Aviation, Model Builder, and American Aircraft Modeler.
*I am an accomplished still photographer and have had done 11 magazine covers for Flying Models and Model Aviation.
*I am an intermediate R/C flyer and am comfortable reviewing models requiring that level of flying skill.
*I am now retired, having served as a university vice-president in my last position, during a career in education that spanned 42 years.
*I hold a doctorate in education with undergraduate and graduate degrees in English.
*At this time, I prefer reviewing ARFs or other models not requiring large amounts of building time.
