I am a long time model builder of over forty years and an experienced RC pilot. I started building U Control model in the early sixties, and since the middle seventies have been constructing RC models. After constructing over 100 model planes of most types and categories I consider myself a master builder of the highest level of workmanship. Though I have not competed at the national level, I have achieved several wins at the club level (First Place ARF 2002, Second Place Stand of Scale and Second Place Sport in 2003 Converse Eagles RC Mall Show, Marion IN.)
In addition I am a certified AMA Contest Director, and a Club Flight Instructor. Presently I am retired and conduct a small business of assembling ARFs and constructing kits for members of several of the area clubs around Peru, Indiana. Right now I am placing the finishing touches on a Balsa USA Fokker EV, with which I am planning on competing at next year AMA Scale NATS. I am building a LANIER RC 1/4 Scale LASER 200 for Mini IMAC competition, and I am building a Hangar 9 Cessna 182 Skylane 1.50 ARF for a customer. In the last couple of months I completed a Sportman Aviation 60 size WACO, a Great Planes U can Do 3D .40, and a Wild Hare 28% Edge 540 for other customers.
Before my retirement I worked for over thirty-three years in the semiconductor industry as a Technical Support Engineer. In that capacity I exercised the duties of Technical Instructor and Course Developer, and Analytical Troubleshooting System instructor. Until recently I held a Commercial Pilot Certificate with IFR rating and Multiengine certification.
