MODEL
Marks Honker (scratch built)
ENGINE:
H.B. .15
MODIFICATIONS:
1983. A scratch built .15 powered rendition of a Marks or Jemco 1/2A Honker. Flew for approx. 7 seconds in a sweeping arc before impact. I have no clue or recollection what my inspiration for this thing was???????? Probably best left that way!

MODEL
H.O.B. Real thing mock 2
ENGINE:
HB .15
FUEL:
15% Sheldons
PROP:
8-4 Top flight white nylon
MODIFICATIONS:
1985. Added real landing gear. Roll on ground was scary, only tried once, hand launch only. Flew like stink on a HB .15 kept flying faster as the engine broke in. Flew much faster with the gear knocked off. Did 3 auto rotation flat spins to soft impact due to lack of washout in one wing. Twisted in wash out, reshrunk covering. Flew it somemore. Restoring her to fly again!

Real Thing (20 years later)
ENGINE:
hb 15
FUEL:
15% Omega
PROP:
A.P.C. 8-4
DUCTED FAN:
later modification
MODIFICATIONS:
After numerous busted props, (stock tip: buy shares in Top Flite or APC if I continue to fly this thing) I have decided to readopt the hand launch method. Roll on ground is "still crazy after all these years" Someday I'll build a wing with ailerons and less dihedral.............R O G may resume at that time. Still too much fun on 3 channels though. Lands awesome too!
