ENGINE: Saito 270
RECEIVER: JR. 955
SERVO: 9402 All Around
TRANSMITTER: Jr. 10x
FUEL: 20 Saito fuel
PROP: 20/8
MODIFICATIONS: This plane was 12 month's in the build. I went all the way with this one. It has rib stitching and a complete cockpit with King storm scope. There has been a few more adds since this photo. I love this plane and the way it flies. I could fly this plane all sunday afternoon. The kit it's self is Sig class and was a pleasure to build. Not many make a kit like this anymore. The Saito 270 was the only choice in mind and a perfect size and fit. The cockpit combing is lambs skin and took one Sunday afternoon to hand sew. the inst bezzles , I turned from brass. Build one. You will love it.

Balsa USA Fokker D-VII - 1/3
Electric Powered Non-Electric Powered
ENGINE: ZDZ 80 RV
RECEIVER: JR R955
SERVO: JR DS8611A
TRANSMITTER: JR PCM 10X Air
FUEL: 97 Oct
PROP: 27-B Vess
MODIFICATIONS: This D-VII was maidened on March 21 2009. I was very surprised at how easy it flew. I knew that I would have to make some changes. One--1/2 Deg of downthrust and two, beef up the axle. If you want a first indepth 1/3 scale Fokker build, this would be a good one. It took me 18 month;s to build with some slow time during flying season of coarse.

Lanier Yak 54 - 87"
Electric Powered Non-Electric Powered
ENGINE: DL-55 Ver 2
RECEIVER: Futaba 9 Ch
SERVO: Mixed
TRANSMITTER: Futaba Cap 9
FUEL: Gas
PROP: Ves 23A
MODIFICATIONS: This has been one fun Yak 54. It flys like it is on rails. The DL-50 is more than enough power. Lanier had it all together when they released this kit. Although at this writing the kit has been discontinued but if you see a used one out there, pick it up and you will not be sorry. I have done several modifications to it since this photo to lighten it up and also installed wheel pants as well. All in all, a great bird and I would buy one again if bad luck befailed this one.

MODIFICATIONS: This Lanier G202 was built in 2004 and when I built it I made it as light as I could. The G-62 has the C&H Ign. of coarse and flys like it's on a rail.Landings are straight forward with no surprises. If you are an accomplished builder you will love this plane. Added note. I would love to see what this bird would do with a DL-55.

VINTAGE SKYGLASS MIG 21
Electric Powered Non-Electric Powered
MODEL VINTAGE SKYGLASS MIG 21
ENGINE: KRAFT 61 RACING
RECEIVER: FUTABA 148DP
TRANSMITTER: 8U SUPER
MODIFICATIONS: This is an old Skyglass kit that I have had around for years. It's all the Kraft 61 engine can do to fly it and on the wing at that. I have all ways known that this airframe would be a peach with a small turbin like the Wren MW 54. Like any delta wing and being slightly underpowered you have to get the nose down as soon as you rotate and build from there. It has the old Kraft elec retracts that are about as scale actuating as you can get. I have thought about selling it to someone that would vow to incorporate said turbin but just have not brought myself to do it. The fuse is straight through that would facilitate easy adaption for a turbine and cutting the cockpit area like some of the prop ARF's would make getting to everything a snap. Of coarse there is the matter of the nose hole that the engine protrudes from but anybody thats ever worked with the light fiberglass would know that this fix would be a snap as well. It's a shame that this kit has not been around for years because I think you would see more of them bashed into the realm of turbin flight.

World Models Extra 300S - 160
Electric Powered Non-Electric Powered
ENGINE: First Place 3.2 Gas
RECEIVER: Futaba R149DP
SERVO: Futaba S9402 (Ailerons)
SERVO2: Futaba S9402 (Elev/Rudder)
SERVO3: Hitec HS-525BB (Throttle)
TRANSMITTER: Futaba 8UHPS PCM
FUEL: Reg. Gas with 32:1 Lawnboy
PROP: 22/8 Zinger
MODIFICATIONS: Removed as much Wt. on this bird I could. All in all about 1.7 pounds. Made alot of diff in the landing and flying of this plane. If I were to crash this plane today, I would buy another one to keep around. I'v seen all of this size 300 and this one's the best for me. There were some deviations from the supplied hardware but think the Factory did that later as well.

Vintage Ace 4-60
Electric Powered Non-Electric Powered
MODEL Vintage Ace 4-60
ENGINE: Saito FA-65
RECEIVER: FMA 6 Ch
SERVO: Futaba 9402
SERVO2: Hitech 605
SERVO3: Hitech 605
TRANSMITTER: 8U Super
MODIFICATIONS: This is a vintage 4-60 that Doc designed and kitted. This is one of my Favorite fun models. I have the 4-120 and the 4-120 bipe as well. I went overboard on the covering and after I got half way through it I vowed not to do it on another this small. The wing had 12 panels to get the transparent mid section. Doc was right when he said it would do most everything you tell it to do. Just a lot slower. The Saito 65 is a little workhorse that is amazing. If you want a fun little plane to tool around in the sky this would be one you would want to keep an eye out for on the rare occasion you see one for sell. I have always injoyed affixing a theme around my planes and as you can tell this one would be called Betty. This is one little plane that will be around in your hanger for some time.
