My Roaring 20
Finally, after more than a year and half away from the modeling world, I´m back.
A friend of mine who built a Little Stick got an extra Cox Pee Wee and offered it to me If I build a plane for it.
Well, I like small planes and wasn't going to miss the chance, so I look for plans and decide for the Roaring 20
Here are the pics:

RE: My Roaring 20
I pulled a random magazine from the stack
just yesterday and it had the Roaring 20 plans
in it- Model Airplane News I think.
Good old Ken Willard.....so you know it will
fly just fine.

I think Early RC use to sell kits of the sheeted wing version, but I don´t know if they are still in business.
That´s right Dave, my options before getting the Pee Wee .020 were a .15 Top Dawg or a .049 Scorcher

Nice to have you back with us..!
I am glad to see you are finding ways to have fun with the Cox engines.
I'm curious right now to see where Puerto San Martin is..it sounds like you are at seal level.
[I'll leave that typographical error alone..I will bet you ARE at SEAL level ]

CP It´s a River Port, like Mississippi ports, so I think we are a little above "seal" level something like "otter" level
I considered the electric option, but the lack of noise and simplicity of BL engines don´t satisfy me.
.049 that´s insane!, anyway I´m waiting for a TD 02 for it.

RE: My Roaring 20
Considering how much fun my Cannonshot is with a TeeDee 020, a roaring 20 with one would be a barrel of laughs.
Acutally, it was pretty good fun even on a peewee.

I would like to get a set of plans for the Roaring 20. It looks like it would be a great fun flyer. Any help would be appreciated finding these plans. Thanks.

My original Roaring 20 was from the Top Flite kit & had a sheeted wing so that's
how I built mine. The photo with the plan also shows the sheeted wing. - John.

Blasphemy!!!! May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits!
You have, no doubt, heard all the arguments for electrics so I'm not about to try to convince you otherwise
but that's what suits me better.
I just couldn't resist the Pee Wee, also bought a new Wen-Mac a few weeks ago for the same reason, the're cute!
John.

I just found out my department has a PLOTTER!!!!! That means I was able to print the full plan of this beautiful little plane. That makes me VERY happy!

Looks like a good home for a Sure Start on a 5-3 and a balloon or film can tank. Zoom zoom.

That's pretty much what I did, excecpt the firewall was so old and fuel soaked, I got one flight, then using the snap starter (aptly named) I broke the whole firewall off the front of the plane!
Also, if you're planning to do this, maybe shorten the nose about 1/2", mine was extremely nose heavy!

Rudder works fine.
We flew it last Saturday and apparently I didn´t give enough down thrust to the Cox .020 so it ballooned until the fuel run off. A good friend of mine battled against it during the powered flight, and then glided it to land.
