Hey, Beenie, that bipe design yours is a cutie! With those low AR wings, I expect the .061 was needed. That's one of the cool things about small planes - since the time and money investment is low, one can try a lot of design ideas. Translation - FUN!

Here I am! Thats a few summers ago tuning my Baby Bombshell at a SAM meet - I used that plane for 1/2A Texaco and also flew it for fun untill I sold it this past fall. Going to build a John Tatone "Atomiser" for the next 1/2A Tex ship.

Default Hey Randy

Good to see you on the boards again!

I think I recognize that picture- Who is that guy behind you in the blue hat? hahaha.

Was that taken at your first pylon race, or at another race?

Well here's my current project, I was selling it as a new kit but was suppose to be bought by someone for double my cost of assembly. Needless to say they backed out but now I'm committed. I'm sure it will be fun.

Hey, you'd be a great guy to have around when one of my planes flies off into the woods!

You can attach up to a 75K picture using the "Attach file" function at the bottom of a post

SRA-

I'm so sorry to hear about that. I can't even imagine what that must be like, for you but even more so for your wife.

I guess it's times like this that you keep the wife and your friends just a little closer to you...

For whatever it may be worth, my aunt had 3 in 4 years, really tough on her and my uncles marriage, they kept it together though and now have both a son and a daughter.

I guess you just never know....

As Always.

J. what a crack-up that is you in the background. If I can remember right, when I croped that picture I cut out your racer (Sorry Dude!)
As for racing, yes that was my first and last race! but thanks for the encouragement!

I really like your little blue angel. Like all, I want to know how it flys.

I'm planning with louis to come up for the smalls in june, so I hope to see you there.

Just dug this out - on of my favourite pics from my childhood. I am on the right hand side, age 13 (20 years ago) with my scratch built "Hornet" from RCM plans (still have them!) and a goldn bee 049, my buddy Ronis on the left with his Ace 1/2A Alpha powered by my TD 051 I lent to him.

As you can see, I am flying a Kraft three channel radio, the square tan box for you guys that havent seen an older radio. NO reversing switches, no dual rates. Man we have it nice today

Hoo Boy!

Doesn't Dickeybird have nice legs?

If this mess will accept it I'll show you why I can't comment on anyone elses looks, and no, the camera did not survive.

Incidentally, the airplane is about 30 years old.

Pictures don't lie.
. I can only sigh.

Bill.

PS: To get the pic small enough, I had to cut the plane out. I know, I should have left the plane and cut myself out. wr.

OK, I figured I'd put up a pic of fishin'-flyin'-fussin-drinkin' & Cox-a-holics Anonymous Co-Charter Member #2 Brian Pate, aka spindr holding his scratch built .020 racer "HotShot". He's the guy that rekindled my Cox mania way back when!

You'll notice he's holding a glass of "inspiration" on one of his many friday night forays to the DickeyBird Aviation hangar to cop some free libation. (That oughta' get him out of the lurking mode and into the posting-a-screaming-retort-post mode!

Default Lets combat

These planes did not leave the field new. A little aggressive combat and they left with some prop marks on the elevators. Too much fun. They took some good fast licks into the ground with no breakage.
