RE: Zip
now its time for the ailerons. After forty years of diging out hing slots with a knife, my wife got me a slot machine for cristmas last year. If you plan to do much building I would highly recomend getting one. I like to cut the slots befor sanding the angle, its easyer to find the center. Next will be to join the wing haves. hkbii.

Howdie gents, lets take a look at the servo hatch. Well I shure goofed. I put the mounts on the top of the wing.[&o] I put a new sat on the bottom. I cut the hatch for a tight fit then tape them to the wing. from the top of the wing I set in two strips 1/8x 3/8ths one on each side. These strips should fit between the mounts. After the glue has dried sand the eages about 3/32 sd off each side, this will allow room for the covering. then I put tape on the mounts. now I put the hatches backin and then sand flush. hkbii

RE: Zip
now I'll glass the center section. I will be useing a polyester fab, and epoxy . Useing the sealing iron I heat the fab, this takes the tension out and lets it lay flat. I mix the epoxy and then add about 30 % alcohol to thin it out. with a foam brush spread a thin coat on the bottom of the wing. now lay the fabric down and starting in the middle spread a thin coat of epoxy. use just enough to wet the fabric and work out all the air. Now do the top of the wing. After the epoxy dries sand it with 220 foam sanding pad. use a lite touch and small circular motions. Now put on one more coat and sand agin. hkbii.

Now lets glue it all together. I'll cut the elevators when they come off the board, and sand the outside and the top and bottom smooth. hkbii

Howdie gents. Today it's time to do the vert, stab, filler blocks. I like to use a filler block for the stabs. then use a glue stick and attche the whole thing to the fuse, and then sand to shape. hkbii.

Now it's time for the fun stuff, sanding. I start with a small sanding bar and take it down close to the shape that I whant then I switch to a foam sanding block (150 grit) and work it in closer. to finish I'll use a 220 grit foam sanding pad. hkbii

Howdie gents, The motor mount for the AP 0.09 came in yesterday. I cut the fuse down to fit. I picked the AP because I thought it would be nice not haveing a muffler hanging out in the wind. I hope that this is a good engine, it shure is tight. hkbii.
