Please help me find 1/2a plane!!!
Hello guys!
Like 10 years ago i attended a full scale aircraft airshow. They had all kinds of flying stuff including RC airplanes of course. Thing is there was this plane with a .049 engine there. i didn't see it flying. This problem is i don't have a picture of the plane and i just fell in love with that plane. Can you guys please help me find it??? As i said i don't have a picture of the plane and i barely remember the details on it....but here we go... OK The plane can be described to be for speed t had a tapered trailing edge, the engine was set to push the plane and there was a ring arround the propeller...it had double tail and if memory serves me well it was posibly a T tail setup....the wing span could've been arround 2-3 feet long. Thats all the details i can remember...AH another thing..i think i remember somebody state that this was not sold as a kit. That it could only be found as a set of plans....not sure how true or certain that is...Try to think a bit back an see if you remember any plane with this caracteristics and if you by anychance have a picture please post it PRONTO!!! Thanks in advance guys hope you can help!!!!

Although that plane looks extremely cool and i like very much it isn't the one i'm looking for The one i'm talking about looks pretty similar to this one but the ring arround the propelle was more meant to protect it...maybe half inch width...and had TWIN T tails2 rudders one elavator....if i recall the twwin tails were installed to the wings and the engine to the fuse....Thanks for your replies guys that planes looks very cool!

Miller's Pushy Galore comes close to your description.
Only it's got just one T-tail. This version has no shroud on the prop.
In RC Modeler magazine, there was a stand off scale version called Pushy Cat. Will see if I can find the pic.

supersport,
maybe you could draw a sketch of the suspect, as you best recall it?
All of us immediately zeroed right in on an Ercoupe for another guy that way.
We may not be reading your instructions quite right.

LoneRanger,
the Push Cat plan is available from RC Modeler Magazine. They have a website too for ordering. Easy to find if you do a search at Google.
It's plan no.pl-1177, from the October 1994 issue.
And I agree, I think it's pretty cool too. And so is Maverickman's pusher.
By the way, the Pushy Galore holds all kinds of world records for climb to altitude. Did pretty good on speed too as a Formula 1 racer. The pick I posted is at the EAA museum in Oshkosh.

also, what size engine does the original plans call for? a .25 or something?
just thinking I have a spare .25FP laying here, mabey I could build the full size one.
any one know how they fly? would seem to be a very forgiving airplane with that super wide wing-
thanks, ordering the plans on monday-

L.I.T. Special. Formula 1 racer.
Plan no.CF-340, published in August 1974 by Flying Models Magazine.
About 31.5" span for .049.
Their's is semi scale though, was made to be a tractor, not pusher.
Here's Cessna's version, called the XMC. Only one prototype ever built.
Oh, Yeh, LoneRanger, I seem to recall that the RCM Pushy Cat used a 40. Definitely one of my favorites.
For pushers, you might also like Joe Mergen's Firestreak. Looks like a :ear Fan. Runs on a .15. He also did a larger version to run on a .40.
I'll get you the pic of the .15 version. RCM has that plan too.

Here's the Firestreak.
It's plan pl-879 at RC Modeler Magazine.
The larger version was available directly from the designer. Don't know if that's still the case.

Hey Pr,
if you cant find the original, you should build your own from the drawing. I like it, and I bet it would'nt be too hard to design from what you'vs drawn. Lots of guys here can help you.
