Possibly a strange question.... Seeing as though I have NO skill to make my own laser cut plans or files, maybe Bsarge would share his Laser cut parts...lol. What do you say sarge?

ABSOLUTELY! I haven't been on RCUNIVERSE for probably about 4 months, so sorry for the delay in responding....Anyone who wants the laser files just shoot me a message and I will email them to you....I think I might have some extra rolled plans laying around that I could copy if anyone wants those as well....I still haven't finished mine yet, it is all covered I just need to find the time to attach the control surfaces and install the radio....

-Bill

P.S. I also have a PDF file of the full sized plans I can email as well....I will have to hunt around the computer for the laser files(they aren't where I thought they were)

IT FLIES IT FLIES!!! After adding in a bunch more right rudder the lady bug had its maiden voyage! Can't fly too straight for too long before you have to turn around to keep it in sight!!! What a thrill to fly, sorta like flying a shoe box around really! A 850mah 7.4v lipo battery gave me 13 minutes of flight time!

Here is my latest iteration of the Lady Bug. It is built from plans I got from Andy Clancy. I built two in 1999. Andy himself flew the first one at SMALL Little Rock in June of 99 and pronounced it a good one. I lost it when the flight battery died and it flew away. The second one I built in '99 was destroyed in a crash doing outside snaps and the wing popped off. PAW .033 and weighs 8.5 oz. dry. I have yet to test fly this one.

Very nice! Let me know how it flies! I've yet to snap roll mine yet, as I'm still thrilled that the thing flies!

I want one! - I want one! I've never built such a small plane. Wait - I built an Ace RCLittelest Stik. Never did fly though. It had a Cox.010 on it. It was Cute.
But I got the Bee Bug - SO - I want one - I want one !!

Anybody got pointers on what I should or shouldn't do while building this "Big 'Ol Bird", and sugjestions (realistic ones) on the power plant, or CG location?

All the help is appreciated. Thanks Gang.

I saw hfenn's fly several times at SMALL last weekend. It was very entertaining and lots of us enjoyed the show. That little PAW sound awesome when it's throttled back, too.

Thanks "NEW" I found your post after I asked. I guess we should do more reading sometimes. Thanks I really appreciate it. I'm already looking it over and applying the Balsa diet plan.

Well my version doesnt fly well ( or at all- way too heavy) with a peewee 020 , and my teedee 020 and G-mark03 runnersare otherwise comitted so I am putting a black widow049 on it tonight and hopefully not flying the wing off it tomorrow

No, the wing will not fly off it tomorrow. The airframe may remain on the ground, but the motor will fly....

I finally got a shot at getting her into the wind yesterday after several days of waiting. I got tired of waiting for spring rains to subside, giving way to wind of course. The wind was being great weather for twisters, taking turns coming from every direction and never letting up, but I had waited long enough.
After running out 3 tanks of fuel waiting for the wind to take a momentary pause that never came, I refueled the tank 1 last time , and gave her a pitch in the direction I hoped the wind would be coming from by the time she left my hand.

The black widow 049 is in fact enough engine to haul it vertical from a hand launch, however it comes back to terra firma even faster;and now its time for some ca glue to do its job as well as the black widow did its job.

Ok, so I finally got a day that the wind wasn`t too bad and I had a chance to fly at the same time. No, the black widow didn`t fly the wing off of it. She made it about 150 ft. before I realized that my son had the truck parked in the way. Meanwhile, I was preocupied with showing off to my son that the old man has still got it, so I was doing a vert. stall hang on theprop during forward flight type maneuver about 4 feet off of the ground, so I leveled off to gain some speed and fly around the rear of the truckif I couldn`t gain enoughaltitude.
She was only going about 20mph when I nailed the bumper ; It seems my depth perception at that distance isn`t whatit used to be, since I`m so rusty on the sticks.

I used to be able to fly the whizard , littlest stick, and gentle lady all the way around the house at about 15feet elevation while I stand in the yard , but that was about 22 years ago lol

1 prop screw and some ca and she is ready to try again tomorrow.

I told my son from now on we have to film our antics
