Does anyone know of a good 1/2A or similar size glow powered heli?
I know this thread is about airplanes, but can anyone help? I don't have enough room in my back yard to fly my Raptor .30 without the risk of hitting a tree or two. [sm=lol.gif]

lite machines was the only company I knew of, you still might find a few left over, other than the go with a 15 powered heli, a few are on the market right now and are great, other than those, I fly 450 helis, get about 12-15 minutes of stick time on 1 battery.

I just can't find it within myself to resort to electric, no offense, I just prefer the smoke of a glow engine. Do you know any of the companies that make .15 size helicopters? Thank you for your help. [sm=regular_smile.gif]

Just do a search with the words, ".15 glo heli", I have some heli mags that have reviews on 2 or 3 of the .12-.15 size helis, the editors comments were, "I've never flown or had soo much fun in and hour compaired to electric helis, just fill and fly" so yeah, glow has a big advantage over electric, but electric I don't get angry neighbors, and I don't fly anymore than 40 minutes at a time with the heli, just frazzeles my nerves after 40 minutes of flying.

we are working on it, don't rush us! Its going to be on a Gaui 200 platform. You can see my thread over on HeliFreak in the Gaui 200 EP section.
Wouldnt it be cool? Cheap ***** fixes and the smell of nitro?

I have a Hirobo MH-10 from back in the day. Bought it at an electric pylon/fun fly event in San Diego in 1997. The builder assembled it and couldn't get it running, haven't had the time to mess with it since.

LaBam,
I'm in the process of going through my father's estate and one of the model helicopters that he had was the Hirobo MH-10. As I recall, he originally had two of them and crashed one. From what I could tell of what remains in the boxes, there appears to be at least one complete MH-10 and about half the parts from another plus, including at least one OS .10H engine. I haven't had the time to inventory all his stuff yet, so I can't be more specific. If you are interested, send me a PM and I'll see about getting some pics and a quick inventory of the parts.

If you want a really smoky exhaust put a diesel head on that OS .10 and fly a bit undercompressed. With a long tube off the muffler to the LG you can get the engine to be very backyard friendly in the noise department as well. Diesel exhaust also will fog your yard for mosquitoes.
