Default RE: Morris Yellow Jacket-Any experience?

I got a few good flights on mine today. I have changed the wing incidence down to about 0.8 degrees (from the designed 2) but could probably just put it at zero. I have also put about 3 degrees of downthrust on the engine (compared to the designed zero degrees). It still climbs a little a full speed so one could probably just build it with zero on all angles instead.

I have now also put an old Norvel in the front and it spins a cox 5x4 at about 20500rpm (on 10% nitro) with a nice happy sound to it. Good speed and still unlimited vertical, just love to make those large horizontal eights at full speed and low height...

Default Wanted to Add this Little 1/2A Yellow Jacket

This little plane was done very nice. I cant take credit for it. The builder was in Columbia, SC. A very nice guy. This little one has a PULL Pull rudder and elevator. Too small for me, May put it on eBay.

Ooops, needed some sleep it is pull-pull not push pull..... Thanks for mentioning it to me.

It looks like pull-pull...?

These are very gently flyers and with a throttle on they are well behaved sport planes. Just keep the throws low and you'll be fine...
