Default Herr Lil Extra... in stock?

There recently was a thread reguarding this plane where it seemed there was some lament about it's unavailability. I decided to do some searching and see if I could find any. If this place actually has them in stock, it seems they have about doubled the original price.

When something appears too good to be true, then very often it is...

Before ordering you might want to read a few threads about the company, here is one: [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9478640/anchors_9478640/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#9478640]Quicktechhobby[/link]

Watch out for Quicktech Hobbies!  I placed an order with them on February second and have not seen my goods.  They have billed my credit card already.  They also will not respond to my emails.  They do not have a published phone number that I can find.  I hope my case is the exception.  This has been my only experience with Quicktech Hobbies.

Yea ? what color ya got ?

Like ghost123uk , I've also got one brand new in the box and mine is the purple version . Unlike ghost123uk however , I'm not in or near the England of European fame , more like New England USA (Massachusetts coast) and will likewise part with mine for anyone who wants to do a face to face deal . I never have and never will ship a model airplane , especially a BNIB one , since I've never had a second BNIB one to replace the one that gets smashed in shipping .....

Mine is a purple one.

It was shipped to the UK from Tower Hobbies in the states (along with the one I am currently still flying) and they arrived (well packed) OK.

Mind you, if I was to ship it abroad, I would get the insurance option !!

That's funny to see this come up again. I put together a Lil' Extra back around '09 and equipped it with an OS .15LA. It was a perfect match for the sporty airframe. It flew so well and was so much fun once I got it dialed in that I bought another one NIB to keep as a spare since they were out of production and were rapidly getting scarce to find. Over the years, it has provided many hrs of fun flying. I still have it and hope to fly it again soon after making some minor repairs. Still have the NIB one and it's not for sale.

Well no one on here has made me an offer, but I'm not sure whether it's worth sticking it on Ebay. It's a bit of a niche thing and your average Ebay punter might not know what it is. Might just keep it for whenever I have to retire the other one.

Lots of pics here = https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=he...w=1274&bih=616

Mine is still in it's box. Never been taken out of the box.

I reckon it's got to be worth £80 which is less than they went up to in price just before being discontinued.

Hi Ghost ,

Best of luck with the sale . I think since your willing to ship you should have no problem selling it with the kind of exposure Ebay will give it . Mine's still in the closet with about 7 or 8 other NIB planes that all have the "someday" stamp on em . My plans for it are to keep it in case I crash my night flyer (a small Lancair fitted with LEDs) and if needed I'll remove the covering , install the LEDs , and then recover it with some transparent monokote .

Here's a shot of the present night flyer , a parkflyer sized great planes Lancair ARF that is truly "tough as nails"
