Default Cooling 2 cells mini-E Revo

I just scored a mini E-revo, it came with a huge fan on top of everything and I took it off. I am just running one cell at a time, but I want to run 2 at once so it makes 50 mph or close to it. I just bought this cooling fan and heat sink. Does anyone know if this will be enough to keep this little guy from cooking himself to death. It is the brushless system with a mid size pinion, not sure what number it came installed. nimh 6 cells each

Do I need a second fan for my esc? If so who makes a good one?

Go Li-po, that will get you to your 50. Personally not a fan of the VXL esc. It gets way tooooo hot. I used a 1/10 Sidewinder ESC in mine and had no heat issues.

I don't know were to find a fan. I currently run a Vendetta ST.

im running the e-revo motor and esc setup in my rc18 buggy, if you need to run a fan to your esc, mount the fan sideways, facing the rear of the esc. this will help, if you cant mount it directly to the esc. I have a similiar heatsink and fan but i havent needed to use it yet as i running 145 - 150 temps. I am running a 3s lipo, so if im not having any issues in heat with a 3s, you should be fine with a 2s

I came up with a way to cool both the ESC and the motor. I turned the fan over so it blows down and mounted it half way on the motor to half of it hangs over and blows on the speed control. I ran both packs today in series and I ran hard. At the end of it all the motor and ESC were both only warm to the touch and the batteries were hot. Here are pics. I got the parts the thetoyz.com BTY. Nice prices fast shipping
