From my perspective I think it's "ok." Sure it's hobby grade but to me the plastic and everything else on there seems really cheap and 'bendy'. BUT don't just listen to me, I never had one so you can't trust me.

yeh, that was my review of my sumo
they are a decent little RC. they are great if you want a little truck to drive around the house, but dont want to spend $100.
however, if you can spend $100, the losi micro short course truck is pretty nice. its faster and has more upgrades you can get for it.
but thats apples to oranges, comparing a $50 sumo to a $100 losi. for me, the $50 sumo works just fine

Sumos pretty decent.

just wish it took 7.2v's and standard RC components (which I am trying to work around)

But just putzing around a house it should be ok

I'd recommend the Megapro Megatech truck.  They're usually around $60 and my son's has been awesome.  You get them from Megatech.

you might still find the propulse version for $60, but the megapro versions i have seen are more like $90.
also, they are alittle to big for indoors(unless you have a big room)
the sumos are 6 inches long, the propluse truck is about twice that. they are a nice little RC for the money, but they are not a micro and not that great for indoors.
