Yeah I think I read somewhere that it's set to cut off at 3.2v/cell.

I ment the voltage regulator, whatever V to 5V for the servo. But good to know about the lipo cutoff aswell. Another thing i did not think about.

Thought a little bit. I think it has. I mean the middle (the one which feeds power to receiver) wire on the receiver cable from esc is not missing and there is no additional cable from esc ment for eternal bec.

For the ones that think "Another RC18T clone..." WRONG! It's a clone of the Trinity Itsy Bitsy Spider. Nobody liked it because it was slow out of the box, the body is ugly (actually, I like it) and parts support was non-existant.

Uhh.. Bought a couple of 1.3A Turnigy Lipos, the ones HK advertise as Turnigy 1/18 ST compatible... While the batteries fit the battery compartment just fine, the cables that stick out touches the main shaft.

I use the same batteries. Can't you just flip the battery so that it's mounted with the wires on the outside, not towards the centre? That's how I have mine anyway.

I tried that aswell and then I can't fit the battery because the wrapped part of the wires are in the way? I am really feeling silly right now. I can't fit a stupid battery! hah! [:-] You have a picture?

Hi,

Thanks a lot! I have tried that before but still too tight. Battery will touch the shaft, see pictures. Cables are very stiff, not sure if I can bend them.

Not sure what else you could do. You could try mounting it vertially and use cable ties or something. Or cut out a bit of the chassis on the side for the wires to go through. I'm fairly rough with the wires so that I make sure it fits in. I'm not saying to pull them so hard that they disconnect, but yeah, show them who's boss lol. Sorry I couldn't be more help!

Thanks for your effort. Just a tad dissaponted in this car. My other cars, I never had issues resembling this one.

Issues I have had so far with this car:

Very noisy servo
Antenna tube while can fit in the antenna hole, it is more or less impossible to fit in antenna wire + antena tube. Not a big deal as I plan to go 2.4GHz for everything. But would be nice If my FM radio could be used with it.
Batteries specced to fit this car do not fit it unless the wires touch slightly the shaft.

You have to remember though it is a $50 car so you're not going to ne getting an as perfectly refined car as say one from Losi. I've had a few problems too but I suppose you get what you pay for. Let's face it, it's a good car for the price and the problems you're having (although very frustrating) are fairly easily overcome. I hope it all works out for you!

You are right. I am expecting a tad too much of the car. 50USD it is unbeatable. I have run a bit with it now with the wires against the center of the car and I have not seen any wear on shaft or wires or that the shaft itself moves non smooth. So I think I will keep it that way.

Anyone still run this Turnigy 1/18 brushless stadium truck? Is the same truck available under another name/brand? parts availability issues!

Yes it is fast, and fairly well built for the money. But parts can be hard to get, do you know if the same car/truck exists under a different name?

i havent looked, but in my experience with rc's you can almost always find a part from another rc of the same sclae that will work with it just by doing a little research. i used to have one of the 1/18 scale propulse trucks radio shack used to sell, and i found that rc18t parts worked on it. dogbones, a arms etc were a perfect fit. just takes a little research. google is your best friend when it comes to this lol.
