I know this was just talked about but I can't find it.

What is the ratings on the servo, and what was the traxxas servo people were using to replace it?

I just replaced it with a Futaba s3010 high torque (90 oz./in. @ 6v) and i think mine it fine. Only $25 but not waterproof. I never run mine thru water anyway

the traxxas servo is the TRA 2056. Its way stronger than the xs stock plus its cheapish ~$29.
Many xs owner who wants to retain waterproofness go this route.

anyone using the Yokohoma Geolander tires? and what are your thoughts?

I'm looking for something a little better than the stock, to use all around.

I have dedicated snow or heavy mud tires, so I just need a good all around tire

Just got my flux all set up for my liking with some new HPI rims, Pro-Line Badlands, and some Dubro body clip retainers. Pics below. I think the black rims look bad a**!
I love the way Badlands will give the xs more ground clearance.Thats my only niggle with the desighn of the xs.Lack of ground clearance for a bashing truck.

I bought a Robinson Racing pinion gear. Only problem is with the set screw. The one that came with it didn't seem machined correctly? No size allen wrench I have would fit, and I have a lot of them.

So I used a spare set screw that came with the XS, but it wouldn't drive down through the gear and lock on to the motor.

Has anyone had this problem before? Should I not use Robinson? Or is this just a rare bad pinion and screw??

What screws did you use to mount them?

Just a quick question... Would a 30c lipo give the flux xs more top speed than a 25c lipo? i know that is the discharge rate and how much punch it has, but my buddies xs on a 30c lipo seems to be faster in top speed than my xs on a 25c lipo.

Sounds like the pinion came loose from the motor shaft.

Hello everyone, i am new to the forums, just purchased a Savage Flux XS after coming from a MERV and breaking it on a 2 foot jump. i used to be all about nitro, so i am fairly new to electric, i am learning quick just from reading and such. i am also new to the 2.4ghz receiver. i have been reading through this forum and didnt come across anyone with a glitchy receiver. My truck tends to have twitchy steering and throttle even when its just sitting there, like theres interference. Anyone else have this problem? Other than that and a loose pinion set screw, this this is the best RC i have owned!!

Both of my XS's occasionally have twitchy servos. Check your trim knobs and and make sure they are set dead center. Otherwise enjoy your XS and welcome to the DarkSide... The Savage XS and it's big brothers are awesome bashers....

Thats an awesome video! I have an 11 yr old daughter and we were out hitting a snow jump yesterday, she went a little crazy and jumped it straight into a tree.....the savage just laughed and kept goin. I may eventually give her mine and get the XS SS kit and have two of them. Another quick question....do any of you guys adjust the ride height with the shock adjusters? If so , how far do you go, and what is a sweet spot if there is one.....thanks again!

My son had his at the baseball fields yesterday and was bashing for about 20mins when he clipped first base and sent the XS flying into the fence. He drove it over to where I was standing and said dad something is wrong with it. LOL ..... I took a look at it and he lost one of the steering links, we searched for awhile but couldn't find it so we used the link that "TBJ" posted..

What do you need a wheelie bar for? Learn throttle control and get out there and bash...... I won't put on on my XS because it would never last thru a bashing session....
