Is anyone still bashing theirs? I'll be picking one up in a few weeks and just wanted to know how these are doing. Vettehigh, did you keep your XS or sell it later on? Were you happy with it?
I'll do all the HD drive cup upgrades, CVDs, and servo. I may get the VGJR edition to avoid upgrading the tires, that version comes with decent pin tires.

I'm starting to find some good deals on EB48.3s and I may just pick one up instead of the XS.

XS was sold brand new - Wanted the best of the best of MT's, so I went with the MT410

Seem to be good to me man, I've put the Savage XS through some pain* and never had any CVD problems (before that I snapped an axle drive cup, wore down a few drive cups, bent a couple of dog bones....

i still have mine but haven't run it in a good 2 years partially because of parts support concerns and partially because the ESC is jacked up (disclaimer: i have the now long defunct SS kit and i stuck a Castle ESC in it. need to get off my ass and replace that thing...)

I think it’s time for you to dust it off.

i just don't want to buy a new ESC. what it's doing is hitting low voltage cut off when you stab the throttle. i first though it was because i shortened the motor wires (castle 1410 3800kv 4 pole motor) and it jacked up internal resistance or something. and wanting a censored motor i put a hobbywing 3800kv 4 pole censored motor in it. problem persisted. bought a new 5000mah 50c battery. problem persisted. then i noticed the ESC fan is acting a little weird (hauling ass for no reason and occasionally stopping for no reason) so now im thinking the ESC is jacked. it's one of those things where id like to drive it if it has parts support, but id also like to not spend anymore money on it. and sense i have like 20 other cars to run, you can see the "dilemma" im in
