That losi does indeed look very interesting, though the motor looks rather small. It has a tough act to follow (my Xray M18T pro)

The smallish looking motor is because they are still using 1/18th scale electronics, but it is a 1/14th scale buggy

From the looks of the battery included with the buggy. It is using smaller electronics

Here is a pic of the motor.

Picture of the ESC. It is the same esc that is used in the 1/16 SCT

Yes, exactly. That's not good. At all. Oh well, keep trying losi, you've yet to make something that interests me in the slightest. [&o]

Small stock electronics it may have, but if it handles like an 8ight it should be good.

Why should we wait for a big block conversion? Losi should have done it right the first time...

it does seem to have a 1/10th scale servo, im not really worried about it using the 1/18th electrics. From the amount of power that comes from them, there is gonna be plenty of power. Who knows, maybe losi tried the 1/10th scale electronics and decided that it was too much weight, it doesnt looking any bigger than a mini revo or slash, and they both use the smaller electronics too

Wow, way to go slagging a product that's not even released yet !

Looks good from the video - speed, handling and stable in the air.

This is the best looking mini Losi have produced period and it should be a performer if they have scaled down the Eight.

Ther servo is the servo from the MRC, so not mini and not 1/10th either.

+1 Using them in a 1/14 vehicle stresses those already poor 1/18 electronics even further. Looks to me like their trying to compete with Traxxas's 1/16 cars. With Traxxas, though, everything they touch turns to gold.

Since they haven't released any actual specs on the included BL system there's no way to tell if it's 20mm 1/18th scale sized motor, or a 380-sized motor (novak mongoose or castle 3600 series) that would power it just fine. No need for a "big block."
The other thing is while they're calling it a 1/14th scale, like the carisma 14b did, it's actually more 1/16th scale or similar in wheelbase to the mini-revo or duratrax vendetta sc.

My only issue is that Losi is a good 3 years LATE in releasing it, as the entire mini craze has died here in the U.S.

it is NO 20mm can at all...same size as the Novak (mayeb a few mm longer) so as the above gent said, there is no need for a BB conversion for it. Carisma have a 6800 rpm motr same size, IF there is not enough speed

The more I see this the more I want it. I don't really care about the electronics since I plan to steal them from one of my old vendetta's.

Thomas, so you think an old permax 4d (28mm motor) + sidewinder micro will be ok in this? That's what have in my vendetta right now. Also, is there any chance you can get a pic of your carisma next to a shark w/ sc chassis?

I am really interested in this Losi buggy as well. Really love the looks of it. I went to my lhs today to see if they had or were getting any as I want to see it in person. I thought the release was today or this week? They are going to call me when they do do get them in.

Hi cant see any problem with that combo, but the stock is real nice. BUT, the good thing in this hobby, you can decide what you want in them

No i am sorry i can not do that, since i do not own a Shark/MB4 SC.

But this one, is just a few mm wider (app 3 on each side)

Wheelbase is 186-190mm..

I thought these would be available already. My lhs didn't have any but they are going to call me as soon as they get some in. I am considering getting one of these buggies as well. They look awesome! I am looking for something else to be used at the local track and this would be perfect. But, I first one to see one in person and check it out thoroughly.

Got a call from my lhs today saying they got the Mini 8ight in. I will have to get over there this week to check it out. Not sure when I can afford one but I will at least see if it's worth it. Maybe a Xmas present for myself?
