Default Kyosho Mini-Z Buggy

Coming out in November, they're expensive but seem pretty cool. The mini-Zs are arguably the best ultra micro RC cars out there, and now kyosho is releasing a 4 wheel independent suspension off road buggy version.

Features:

* Shaft drive 4WD and 4-wheel independent suspension unite in MINI-Z size. Charges over the roughest tracks without skipping a beat.
* 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension with oil shocks produces exceptional road holding performance.
* Features precision coupling to the drive shafts within its compact size and a 10-degree skid for superior off-road running performance.
* Twin battery boxes are incorporated into the shell structure of the chassis, which realizes exceptional rigidity to extract 100% effectiveness from the suspension.
* Each component is designed to compliment the flat finish to the underside of the chassis. Just remove the cover for easy maintenance and replacement of tie-rods.
* Critical components like the differential gear box are sealed and dirt-proof to provide confidence in the integrity of the drive train. Full racing specs include slipper clutch and 15 ball bearings.
* ESC drive frequency, virtual inertia and steering characteristics etc. can be adjusted by connecting to a PC via the equipped I.C.S. terminal.
* Chassis is designed with space for optional gyro unit. Detects changes in posture and automatically corrects steering and throttle to maintain control stability.

I think its cool, but the price is just outrageous. I'm not sure if I could ever get myself to shell over that much for a 1/24th.

Yeah the price is outrageous, though Kyoshos MSRP is always much higher than retail.

i like it, it needs a wing though, to me a buggy with no wing is not a buggy! Having owned a couple mini z's myself i would not hesitate to pick this up if i could find it at a reasonable cost.

I love it. In fact I have one smaller....but it is only a pull back and let it go type. It is the scorpion by Kyosho. Quite cool, if it were only rc. What is the MSRP on these?

Due to the price of the Mini-Z AWD and this, it seems to makes sense. The stuff is hard to make smaller. I'd imagine street price is probably around $225 to $250, at least after they've been out for a bit. I really don't know where I'd use one besides indoors though, but that is kind of the point >.<

Cute - but for that money I'm disappointed it doesn't have gold-plated alloy shocks, let alone gold-anodized shocks.

Got my buggy the other day .I own about 40 mini z cars .I am very disappointed with the buggy. It has a short run time,is slow and not much power. They just came out and I already see one being sold on ebay used. He must be as disappointed as I am. If I sold on ebay I would sell mine. Redcat sumo will run circles around this buggy and they are four times cheaper.

hmm that's no good. Hopefully there will be hop ups for it. How is the build quality and suspension? Are the only problems run time and power?

only gold plated shocks?
hell they better have gold shock towers too, and come with damn batteries (which is don't)
friggin losi micros even come with damn batteries, and are almost 1/3rd this things price.

Think I'll stick with my pimped out redcat sumo now only if I could figure out how to fit a lipo on it, and find a lower RPM motor...

Maybe... $150. Hpi has a mini skyline that dropped in price to under $100 so maybe Kyosho will fallow (lack of sales). This was in my email

+1 here. I also have no patience, so not sure I can hold out for a sale. I predict they'll sell out shortly and when they get restocked next year there'll be a price drop.  Also, the KT-18's packaged with the full RTR kits are $60... I remember paying $90 for mine >_<'  I'd like to see a max price of $180 on the car.

Got my buggy the other day .I own about 40 mini z cars .I am very disappointed with the buggy. It has a short run time,is slow and not much power....
40??!?  ... anyway, to offer my view, my Mr03 was slow when I first got it, then i added a chilli and upped the pinion from stock 6 or 7 to 10.  its pretty fast now by my standard.  I'd like to see how this thing does with those 2 mods.

Atomic posted a vid of the buggy + chilli...

ps. I signed up just to post

Ok, I lied.

I will be receiving my mini-z laser zx-5 tonight.
A little early Christmas present for myself! Can't wait!
