Let us know how that goes! Won't 2700 kv be a bit low?

These truck were designed to run on nitro motors that only pull between 30,000-38000rpm on the high end. 2700 kv will do 29970 rpm at 11.1v and 34020 rpm at 12.6v and will have more than enough torque to pull slightly taller gearing. Lower kv motors are more efficient and have more torque. On 3s I can gear it for 50mph-60mph and still run fairly cool. if I gear it for 45mph I wouldn't even have to think about temps. And if I feel like going crazy I can drop in a 4s or even 5s battery and go nuts with it and still be on the safe side!

Ah, you're going 3s too. I get it. 5s would be insane on this little guy.

personally I'd go with something bigger as those are for the 1/16th e-revo. IMO you should look at 1/10th scale tires.

they are .4 inches larger in diameter than the stock mini revos which is about the size of the stock tires on the Jammin .5 CRT.
if you like how the rim looks I guess its an ok deal. if you seen some rear buggy rims you liked http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Buggy-Tires-2 would be a better deal, and are the same size ( specs I used came off http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXDU13&P=ML as amains sucked)

main reason I said something a little bigger is cause the gearing on the crt.5 is a tad low .

Dirt hawgs are good but you want these ones. they will fit on the wheels that come with the kit. I have a set and they are nice.

Dirt hawg tires are not that great. They are definitely no dirt tire. I had ome on my bandit vxl and they sucked off road.

I'm pretty happy with the geolandars so far. 4" outer diameter, 2" width, FYI.

Of course, it's frying my little 19T motor, but I figured that would happen.

I'm shocked they just don't make an electric crt.5 already. Very little in terms need to be modded of the existing one.

btw echthelion interesting way to put the battery box on did you drill holes into the box?

I'm curious about the battery box too - could you provide pics of the inside of the battery box? How do you keep the screws from bumping into the battery?

Yeah, I had to brute force that thing too. I guess once it's on, it's solid!

I'd only assume he put it through, and cut the spare screw off so it was flush as that is how I did my X1 CRT, but that I had way more room to cut. Thing that confuses me is the spacer he mentioned. I'll be honest I don't remember spacers on the parts tree.

nah i didnt cut anything ill go take it apart and snap a few pics

the spacers offset the chassis holes to line up with the 4 holes in the battery tray and lets you mount the tray either way but i like the wires coming out the back

Ah, wait - so you screw the tray to the spacers in one hole, and then attach the spacer to the chassis plate through the other hole! Nice. Wish I had done that. Maybe time to drill a few more holes.

aaahhhhh thats what those things were for
I was wondering why the tray had counter sunk holes in the battery box.
funny enough the 3 holes I drilled into the chassis seem to make the battery box sit exactly as you have it

That REALLY makes me wonder tough why they never made an electric kit even more seeing all the parts are there.

well the deal I had in place that was going to get me a Mamba Max pro fell through. so now I am going to go a different direction. I bought an 80 amp XERUN ESC today for $40. I plan to order a Tacon 3674 2800 motor and run that on 3s. I still need to order all the parts for the brushless conversion, and some batteries. what are the dimensions on the battery tray for the SCRT10? Will 5000 mah batteries fit or do I need to go smaller? I think I will buy 2 batteries so I can run them in series together in my 1/8 truggy.

on a side note here is a link to the build thread when I first got my CRT.5 in case you are interested.

are you able to measure the inside width and inside length of the battery tray? preferrably in millimeters!
