Default Mini revo servo

Just bought a mini revo and know that the servo isnt the greatest. I want to get a metal gear servo, if possible a water proof one. Also how much torque is needed for the merv?

EDIT: Sorry forget the Savox, it's a pain in the ass to make it fit. Go for the HS5085MG

People who don't want to spend too much get Turnigy stuff if you get what I mean. That particular servo does not have a good reputation. Seems if you get a good one you might be alright, but a scary number of them fail immediately or very quickly. Read the reviews on hobbyking, you'll see what I mean. It's not even true that they say its waterproof (they cite a rubber seal, obviously they mean an o-ring, which all servos have, and none claim to be waterproof). Waterproofing requires more than a rubber o-ring around the case seal. Steer well clear of that one (pun intended ).

My apologies, it is not a direct fit, it's too small.

Go for the HS5085MG, it is a direct fit and what most people are running.

The HS5085MG is NOT waterproof, also when installing the wires are a tight fit so go easy. Has the stock servo stopped working? I know they are prone to breaking but the stock servo does a good enough job while it's working, it's not as though it's under powered or anything. I say use it till it dies.

well you are honestly the ONLYindividual that claims the stock servo is fine.. If you plan on really running your truck the plastic pos servo traxxas has will strip out in minutes...it happened to me as well as 4 others at the local track I go to...

I dremeled the servo hole and fabricated a way to hold a full size METALservo... these little trucks are animals and plastic teeth on a steering servo isnt going to cut it

here is what i did:
