I'm new to this need some help
I bought a team losi micro DT from a friend of mine. The battery life seems very short after I charge it, is their a way to get a longer run time for it? Another thing is their any way I can make sure that it is running to its full potential? And what kind of parts would I buy to make the car faster? And can I do it my self? Like I said I'm new to this and I apologize if I posted in the wrong area.

get a lipo for it, that will make a big difference in the speed and the run time, then there is always the option of getting a brushless kit for it, which would really make it faster and much better run times. a lipo is the cheapest means of getting more speed for it.

yeah you need a seperate charger for the lipo, but you can get the xceleron lipo and charger combo for it for like 45 bucks. its what i use in my micro truggy, makes a huge difference in the top speed and run time. if the micro DT is anything like the micro truggy, then your motor will get wicked hot, ive read that alot of people had the motors die running a lipo, but i havent killed one yet. i did a few cooling mods to my truggy to help keep the motor cooler too.

the mah is for runtime, the higher it is the longer it will run. but higher mah will mean a bigger pack, which might not fit in the battery tray. i think the one i got is 240. i have two lipos for the hubsan x4 quadcopter that i made an adapter for to double to voltage, they have a 20c discharge rate and fit right in my truggy, its pretty quick with them in it.
