Default Good AA Battery Powered Indor/Outdoor RC Vehicle?

I'm currently looking for an AA Battery powered rc vehicle for indoor and outdoor use. So far I found the Redcat Sumo RC 1/24 and the Exceed Mini MadBeast 1/18. Which brand should I choose? Or, are there any others that I might want to get?

I always liked the idea of using AA or AAA batteries because they are easy to replace and can be charged in as little as 15 minutes. I think I'm going to go with the Redcat Sumo RC.

ECX Smash or Losi Micro T are my choices.

I have a sumo somewhere around here my only real complaints were on the radio which IMO was crappy it was 27mhz, and the servo. Not sure if it changed since I got mine like right when they came out. The radio I had was pretty flimsy. It felt cheap, and pretty much was cheap. The servo on the other hand was some proprietary 4 wire servo which was a piece of crap.
The vehicle itself the build quality wasn't too bad though I still have the vehicle itself sitting around somewhere as I've been trying to figure out how to strap a small 2S lipos to it as I replaced all the electronics in it with normal RC parts

Edit seems they upgraded the sumo to 2.4ghz(according to their site) wonder if it still uses the 4 wire servo or if they went to a standard 3 wire

I've learned my lesson for spending less than $100. Please don't buy the Sumo RC.

The servos is crappy and the differential is poorly designed.

Time to go ECX! I love mine, and it is tough as nails. Fully charged 1600 MaH 7.2V pack, full speed into the arm of a couch, bounced right back off and kept going.

the Mini T is the exact same thing as a Smash, but with a different name and body. Not sure about the Kyosho Minis, yet. I'd certainly read up on them if I were you before getting one.
