need help with a mini T
so it has been a long time since I had a mini t, or any losi 1/18 scale. But I picked up a mini T roller with servo for cheap and want to modify it.
Basically, im hoping to find a plastic static model body to put on it (perhaps replacing the stock chassis as well)
I don't really like driving mini's, but just want to do the project. What I need to know is how to get a cheapo brushed ESC/motor as well as proper pinion gear. I do want it to be drivable, will likely let my son use it some.
I know 1/18 brushless systems have become pretty cheap, but id really like to get the motor/esc/gear for under $20. I will need to replace at least the rear tires as well...I don't want the cost of the project adding up to fast.
I was thinking it took a 380 size motor....but is it smaller? or was the stock motor smaller but they can fit a 380?

I do have some electronic recommendations. The motors are size 370 and will not fit a 380.

You could look for a 2030 brushless motor, maybe 5200kv since you said you didn't want it to be too fast for your son.
