Default Losi mini desert truck help - Not responsive

Hello all,

Merry Christmas, hoping to play around with my Losi 1/18th desert truck i recently got off ebay. got a good deal on it, I think. Rewired the parts and added bullet connectors and got new battery. When i turn the car on and the receiver. I can tell its getting a signal as the car will intermittently jolt backwards and forwards. But nothing beyond a few seconds. The batteries are charged and everything seems to be connected properly. Any ideas? Would an old or faulty crystal be causing this? Or perhaps the ESC is toast? All things are stock as far as i can tell.

Thanks in advance and hoping you all have a great holiday!

Crystals do not normally go bad (especially on such new vehicles) too often. I know from experience though, that those Losi mini electrics can be quite prone to problems if not treated well. Also, double-check the polarity on your soldering.

Thanks so much for the quick response! Could it be a bad ESC? If its getting a signal seems like it should be ok?
