You must drive like I do.. I snapped a shock tower before I had my mini-t for 24 hours too. 
Dont know about the aftermarket ones.. but the replacement part is only like 6 bucks and I have not broke it yet. Could have just been a weak part from the factory.

I have recklessly abused my mini-t for a week now and I can't break a thing. I have cartwheeled after hard 3 foot landings, full speed into walls, and nothing has happened except the little rear wing has fallen off.
How did you break a shock mount? I think these things are indestructible.

I cannot seem to break mine, but people have been bring them into the shop for parts. I think 90% of the ones Ive seen have been broken by a human foot, mainly a human foot stepping on it.

It wasn't a human foot. I was tring to go up the wheel chair ramp and caught the curb with just one tire and that was it. It broke rite at the screws I order two to replace it (just in case). but I want to go better than stock.
