Upgraded the Baja motor yesterday, and now I have a glitch of some sort. Can anyone tell me if a solder can give power sometime and not at others? Or if my stock electronics cannot handle the upgrade. Very strange. It speeds off just fine, then it will just stop for no reason.
any advice,
thnx

Check the wires connecting the ESC too the motor , if they are good check the plug from the ESC too the battery .

The stock ESC should be able to handle the BAJA motor .

okay, turned the brushes upside down(no real up or down) and now I have constant connection. That is good news! The bad news is the heat sinks got super hot the first run and it stopped running. A cool down period and it is good to go again. I took off the body and it runs just fine. Any reason it would get that hot? Also, what is the stock esc capable of handling? Someone told me 16t, but I can't find it in manual. And what turn is the baja, 18t?
thanks again

I suggest the Team Orion Super Charged 1600 mah. I got it when I first got the mini-t and it is makes a difference. Especially if you upgrade the motor.

Frozen72: As long as the tire is the same size as your dish rims, you can use any tire of the same size....... So Look around. I use Proline Dirthawgs they seem to perform very well on offroad/onroad/and basically all terrain. The tires are very durable too and they last a long time

Frozen- The team Losi Smasher Tires would be great for all terrain use. The best part is you can buy them premounted from Losi.

It is a good motor with no maintenance but the performance will not be as great as the Trinity Cobalt 18 or the Reedy Mini Max. But overall it is very efficent. For specs on the motor check out:

I might get my Mini-T running it just depends on if my more favored cars are running good and I don't want to get any more upgrades for them.

Thats a really cool idea! I wonder which batteries you'd run? would be a funky config....maybe not. Would have to see it layed out. Keep us posted.

I'm looking to race a little carpet with my Mini-Baja. I am going to get rear foams from Losi and a lexan gear cover with the slipper cap thing, so I can adjust the slipper without taking the gear cover and wheel off. Is there anything I should know or anything else I should get? Thanks

Make sure you have your ride height set correctly or else the car will feel like garbage.

Hey Everyone,

I need some advise on some batteries for my kid's Mini-Ts.

Right now we are running them on 4 sets of 4 rechargeable 2500mah AA batteries. I have 4 chargers going but we are not getting more than 10 mins of run time per set of batteries. It is getting to be a PITA.

I need to buy 4 battery packs and a charger so they can have longer run times and they need to be rather inexpensive.

I don't want to blow $25 per battery if i have to buy 4 of them.
