Castle creation sidewinder and sidewinder pro work with brushed and brushless. The pro would be my choice as it can be run with a sensored brushless motor which means smoother pull away and no cogging. You would also need a new receiver (Hitec, Futaba) and steering servo.
Hope this helps. N

I reckon the motor is dead. I would recommend Orion Baja as it works with the stock esc, is rebuildable and plenty powerful. Needs the wires soldered onto it and a Deans plug.

I do not think either of them can run sensored.
My mamba motor has gone missing in the post. I have to leave it 3 more days and they will send me another, so annoying.

I don't know about the servo. Is you transmitter 75mHz? if not you need a 27mHz one.
And the motor is cool, just to let you know that is the fastest one but u have heard it runs hot. Not that thats a problem, just letting you know.

The radio:i have a 27mhz, a 75mhz, a mysterious one that doesnt say and the stock mini-t one. Would i need a new crystal or something?
The motor: I knew it was the fastest(thats why i picked it lol) but didnt know it ran hot, has anyone had any problems because of it runing hot? will i have to get it a fan or a heat sink or something?
thanks for the info

RE: Official Mini-T Thread
The hs-55 is supposed to be a good servo or the hs-65mg(more expensive but better). I think the hs-65 is about the same price as the one you was showing.
I don't have the motor, i am going on what i have read through this thread. Castle say it is meant to run hot. It depends on what you want the mini-t for. If you always want the fastest most powerful thing and are going to be doing a lot of on-road speed runs, go for the 8000. But if you are going to be doing off road bashing the 6800 is good. But don't forget you can always buy a castle link and set it to a lower power.
If you have a set of 75mHz crystals that SHOULD be ok.

and you could always gear your mini-t down too, to prevent it from running hot, im using a 13 tooth robinson racing pinion with a the stock 60 tooth spur with my 6800kv mamba and it runs just warm

you dont even need the castle link to set your mamba 8000kv to a lower speed you can manually program it without the castle link

RE: Official Mini-T Thread
i have a futuba magnum 2pl 75mhz radio that i run in all my cars accept the micro-t and the mini-t. so that not a problem. i just need a new receiver, servo and a BL system. next time i go to the LHS hopefully they will have regular deans. right now my motor is connected strait to the esc. no connectors. i think im going to sell my crawler so i should get around $300 and about $200 will go into the mini-t or i might get a mini car and go BL with it because i can race it at the on road track at the LHS but i can also run the mini-t. hmm....[:@]

Wow, how do you fry it with the castle link, plunging it in wrong?
I know you don't need the link, its just easier, sorry.
