Default mini-t run time

hi, with a 7.2v 1100mah pack, there is only like 15-20mins of runtime right?
well with a mini z monster aaa's will give it like 2 hours
so if i use rechargable aa's in my (soon to get) mini-t
will my run time rival that of the mini z monster?

I recently bought a Mini-t and run it stock with the exception of the Losi 7.2V 1100mAh battery pack. I get about 40 minutes run time on average. I'm not sure about the rest of your post though.

hey my friend has a micro rs4 w/ a bl motor. he came over and i put my thunder power lithium polymer on it and the thing flw to outer space
Since you keep pushing the LiPo's, which charger are you using and how many cells? As I replied to your other post my M18 has "a Thunder Power 1900 mah Li-Polymer 3 Cell 11.1V battery pack in it."

OK, let me give it to you straight! It probably depends on the type of batteries, the battery rating, the age of the batteries, whether or not the batteries are matched, the charger, the charge rate, the peak settings, and how many times the batteries have been cycled. Why don't you simply make your own AA battery pack, note all the variables, and report back to all of those, myself included, who don't feel like spending time making a AA battery pack for a Mini-T when we can just slap in a pre-made 6-cell pack. Furthermore, if you are getting 2 hour run times with the MMT, you must be babying the heck out of it or driving it until a dead or almost dead stop. I do a lot of Mini-Z racing/running and I notice a considerable decline after 15 minutes of using AAA 800 NiMh--sure, I can run the batteries longer but why bother after the drop in speed.

Default RE: mini-t run time

ok, thanks for given it to me straight tigger
i dont have a mmt, but i saw a thread with someone saying theres lasted like an hour or sumthin
the reason i wanted to use the rechargable aa's is cause i already have a charger and some 2200mah's sitting round,
and i was wondering if i could use them,
but i'm thinking of just buying multiple packs and a charger now,
i want the long run time caus ei will use the mini-t at leik ovals when my brothers are playing soccer,
or mum or dad are at a function at the esplenade (they both happen quite a bit)
i think i'll have to get an ac/dc charger so i charge while i'm there and drive all day!
how do the mini-t's go on grass?
when i get my mini-t i think i'll put a big block, and suggestions (value for money)?
bearings and the 7.2v packs, (how many volts can the stock esc take?),
cause from what i hear, those mods will push it into the mid 20's (cheaply) correct?
thanks all,
and remember give it to me straight

Default RE: mini-t run time

I've got a mini-t with a 7.2,Novak GT7 ESC,and a Groupner speed 300 with a average run time of 35-50 minutes depending on how heavy my "finger" is!With the trinity motor it averaged 30 min. With the Baha motor it went down to 15 to 20 min. So the best "bang for the buck"would be a7.2v battery and the "300",(my local hobby shop sells it for14.95$)and don't forget to......sorry i'm not telling you all my "tricks"My "T" has been clocked at 37mph though!! And thats not using the 9.6v with the groupner 400!! E-MAIL me,you might find out a little more......

'BUY ELECTRIC, THEY GET BETTER MILEAGE PLUS THEY DON'T SMELL LIKE BUG SPRAY!!!!OH YEA ALSO THEY DON'T SOUND LIKE An "OLD WEEDWACKER" The "MINI-MASTER"-----------

You must have upgraded since this last post then. Which Mamba model brushless motor did he have in it?

ORIGINAL: BOBSONATOR025

well i already have a lithium polymer 7.4 volt battery i got from the rcx. But i still dont know if the hpi micro rs4 is better ...if who ever out there is reading this that has an hpi tell me how it runs.

OVERLAND guy..... how fast do u think a mini t would go if i put my lithium polymer 7.4 volt 1200 mah battery in it and a team orion chubby motor or a baja motor or a beast motor or somthing like that..... Any ways "OVERLAND" how fast does your mini t go?

Default RE: mini-t run time

I have no idea how fast my Mini-T is but it is very quick--the Peak Racing Chubby runs very good. I also stayed away from most all titanium parts since I would rather keep the weight down and have both the cheapest and easiest parts be replaceable instead of the next weak link.

RS300 synthesized receiver (for use with a JR XS3 crystal less-radio transmitter)
Peak Racing Chubby Micro RS4 Mod Motor
Novak GT7 ESC
HiTec HS-5125MG servo (programmable metal-geared airplane servo)
Venom-Racing 1100 & Peak Racing 1200 Ni-MH 6-cell battery packs
Losi Bearing kit
Losi Oil-filled Shocks (35 front, 40 rear)
Megatech Mini-Z LED front and rear light kit
Mini “Smasher” Rear Tires w/ Chrome Rims
-Step-Pin Rear Tires for spares (both Chrome Rims & Yellow Rims)
-Stock front tires and gearing
And some freaking wheelie bar to help keep it from flipping over on the asphalt and ozite carpet (on dirt, it's fine).

I purchased the LiPo for the Xray M18, which is having ESC problems. I've already consulted Shawn at Castle Creations about the ESC and it appears that it would be better and probably simpler to use the Mamba-25 speed control since it has finally been released instead of the Castle Creations "airplane" speed control that is in the M18 now.

"officer friendly to radar ya!!"
Here, most aren't "officer friendly". LiPos: Lots of juice, a possible fire hazzard, and a special charger required.
