i like the penguin 3500lm chassis. replaceable rollplates, removable baterry plates, vcs shock ready, and looks sharp too. they have 4 versions. the narrow p3500, p3500lm, p3500el(it is a 3500lm meets arm low cost high features), and the new p3500rs. the rs is the newest requires high end small electronics to fit.

penguinrc.com it there site, and if you order a p3500lm through radmicrosport.com you get free shopping and two rad bodies.

do you want to build one out of after market parts?
bearing kit(team orion/rpm)
front bulk heads (stock/alloy)
rear diff ball/gear (hpi)
knuckles (team orion/top/gpm)
belt hpi only
wheels/tires
wheel hubs or one peice alloy rims

you could alwasy go to one18th.com people are blowinng out hoped up micros and m-18s.
but it is fun to build one out of parts. i know i missed something. see if you can download the manuel from hpi. will have a complete parts list.

good luck

the LM comes with a new center battery mount. it is a a peice of g10 fiber glass you glue/tape/velcro the battery to. it is held to the chassis by two screws. and yes i do own both the 3500, and the 3500lm.
