Default spur problem

Hi guys

took my mini-t out 2day for a little run and i had a death rattle so i packed it back up inot the boot of my car, when i got home took the gear cover off and could see nothing wrong with the meshing so i held down throttle and held the spur gear[:@] bunrt all my finger

anyhow i noticed that my spur gear isnt revolutioning perfect so i took the slipper off and found a loead of melted plastic on the spur but the slipper itself looks fine ??

what have i done wrong[]

i am probabily going to order the 3 racers spur and pinion pack but if some 1 could let me know what i did so i dont do it again i would be gretfull

thats nuts, i know the spur gear is plastic on plastic, so when it gets warm it will probably get soft eventualy melt, I would get a mip slipper or racer's edge they are metal slippers. Sorta make it more bullet proof. I know I am going to get one in the near future, I will probably order one w/ the mip cvds.

dang, well i just ordered me the team losi/MIP cvds, and a racer's edge slipper.
I also have the MIP ball differential on the way.

I am looking at getting lunsford Ti hinge pins and turn buckles, I wish rpm made the ball cups for the mini t.

yeah a better slipper would help. I've been running the racers edge one for a while and love it. If the hole in the spur gear still looks like a circle i would say you just need a new slipper or vice versa. A new slipper clutch is a worthwhile hop-up

Dumb answer but is your motor oiled? Cause you said it was "screaming".
