Irish -

Have you actually purchased a second motor separately? If so, where did you find it, and perhaps more importantly, how much was it? Given that the high-end kit is $150, and the controller by itself is $75, I'd assume the motors are about $75, too?

you can buy the whole setup for less then $130 off www.allerc.com

but i bought the motor by itself months ago. the guy selling it was doing same thing he said he wanted to try the 8000 and just use the same esc so i bought his 5400 for only $50 bucks

My UnitedRC GP1100 8.4v hex packs arrived and I soldered the Deans connectors on them. They are now installed in my Leo-X // Mini-Monster. Before this I was using a MiniT 7.2v Kan pack from UnitedRC and I thought that was just awsome. Well now it is even better. I ordered a wheelie bar and when that arrives, I will get some video.

So - stock Leo-X // Mini-Monster, ball bearings, upgraded servo, Mamba 8000 & UnitedRC 8.4v GP1100 hex battery pack. Can cruise around 10MPh and then hit the throttle and pull a full blown wheelie and flip onto the lid. [X(] This thing is insanely fast. A tall 1/20 scale truck lighter and smaller than 1/18 scale. The power of the Mamba 8000 is just unreal and amazingly nice in this things.

Hit walls, kitchen cabinets, furniture, steps, the truck has not broken anything yet and it keeps taking these serious beatings. It is great for chasing the cats. LOL [>:]

I do not have my mamba in the MiniT - I usually run my K3 in my MiniT. Still a powerful motor - I usually get a lot of traction and pull wheelies and not spin the wheels much at all. When the mamba is in my Micro RS4 it spins the wheels and leaves black marks on the ground. In my Leo-X the thing wheelies.

Guys..what receiver are you using on the mamba. Ive been using the xxl with it and only 2 lipos at the mo cos the thing gets hot with 3 and the xxl has a voltage range of 3-10 ..obviously 3 lipos will be way over its capacity so your response isappreciated.

OK - Everyone knows I have a Mamba 8000kv motor -
As for speed in the MiniT, I am happy with the K3 motor but I want to go brushless. I do not want to go to the mamba 8000kv motor. I am thinking more of the mamba 5400 or the 6800kv motors. I am curious who had tried the slower kv motors in their MiniT and what they have thought of them?

Thanks -

Elmo-6 - my guess would be that your diff is shot or your Slipper is too loose...

I have the K3 - Love it. I just don't want a brushed motor and trying to figure out what else to get. I have an 8000 and think it is to much for a MiniT. I am leaning more towards the 6800 maybe. Will decide in a few weeks.

Thanks for the input.

I have a 6800 in my rc18t and its still pretty out of control with lipos. Running it with GP1100's it pushes the edge of performance quit nicely. Provided of course you adjust the throttle and braking curves.

what are the best ways to keep the minit front down. I like wheelie but gets annoying when your trying to do something like a jump at speed. I am looking o get the dongle to programme the mamba 25esc so hopefully that will help, but anyone doing anything special in the meantime?

I also find that the minit t will not pull wheelies from idle, but after it reaches 20+mph or so. anyone else find this

And what does that have to do with a mamba brushless motor?

these are your quotes,, i was just letting YOU know that there is a faster motor out,, since you love your k3 so much,,, the k4 is supposed to be faster,,, and the additional info i had,, was to let you and others know that a 400 can motor will fit inisde the rc18t

Just was asking - Was confused on your post at first. Usually when people bring up other motors, there is normally someone else talking about it or something. To have it posted with not saying, hey this might be a faster solution or anything else. Wanted some clarification. That is all.

So have you tried the K4 yet or are you going to try it? From you post looks like you already received it? What battery packs are you using with it?
