Here is my brand new RC18MT. I have an Overland as well, but I HATE integrated electronics, and it is pretty much just something cool to watch.

I am loving everything about the 18MT right now. It looks excellent and performs INCREDIBLE in stock form. I just need to hurry up and get a good charger setup. This 10 hour thing SUCKS. I decided to move from 1/10th scale nitro ST's to this thing and I have not a single regret yet. It is small enough to play with and have fun with inside, but big enough to take outside without fear.

It's look cool even in a stock version
great choice

I bought mine from Ultimate Hobbies for only 140 bucks RTR. I was gone on a trip for about 5 days, so I ordered before I left and it was at my house when I returned.

I keep having tons of fun with it. I just lost a spring retainer because I forgot to secure them with a little glue. I have a temporary replacement until I can get a few extra parts. It's really tough, though. I have taken tons of nasty spills because of its high warp factor, but nothing has broke. I have yet to have a dogbone pop out, either.

This is the first 4x4 i've had and it fun to watch it pull itself out of stuff when you turn the wheels and get on the throttle when you are "stuck." It's not a crawler, but fun to do nonetheless. It's acceleration is so insane that stunt manuevers are easily done. I can hit the brakes and slide it sideways on carpet and gun it and it will flip over backwards.

I got mine for 80 bucks (kit only).

SOO many screws [:@] went together pretty fast though, I got mine built and setup within two days.

The dogbones on mine poped out a few times (I dont have the links at the stock lengths), I shortened the lower links and put some foam in the outdrives and they havent came out since.

The stunt manuevers are deffinately easy to do with this little beast, try laying yours on its side (with only two wheels on the ground) let it run in reverse for a bit then gun it in forward, mine does a few flips and lands on all fours LOL.

Heres another pic of mine showing off its "massive" articulation. The big one has a bit more though [sm=cool.gif]

Right now its got a trinity monster HP stock (it uses a 540 size motor).

I was thinking about putting something a bit faster in it (a 20 turn) but I think its plenty fast on the stocker (~20mph), MT's arent made to go fast anyways.

Here's a shot of my MQ, then another shot of all the hop-ups I tossed on. I put on just about every graphite and carbon fiber part available!

there's more pics, and a brief description of the stuff I added [link=http://www.bigsquidrc.com/pictures/duratrax_mini/index_hop.html]right here.[/link]

Looks good, but I hope you plan to race it cause otherwise you wasted alot of money to get the little white "graphite" logo's.

I have been beatin the hell out of the 18MT with no luck in breaking it. I actually launched it 10 feet into the air over 10 times with no breakage whatsover. The little thing's tough, and after showing it to a friend (who has an E-Maxx) he is getting one now. That is great, because it will be really fun with two of them driving around.

That MQ looks pretty good. I'm lovin the dubs, lol.

XDD, what kind of ramp did you use to get it that high? Do you know how fast you were going?

Well, I cheated, actually. I launched it off the end of a cellar built into the ground. It is about a 8 feet above the ground where I jumped off at, and I had a small ramp at the end the gained it an extra couple feet. It is probably more than 10 feet, as it went off the edge pretty far, and it is a slight downhill slope.

Either way, the point I am getting across is that AE knows how to build something that can take abuse.

Here is a shot of my RC18T with a Mamba brushless. I have a 3-cell LiPo I run on it when I want to scare myself, with the LiPo it does about 45mph.

Here is a shot of my XRay M18.

Here is a pic of one of our races in Houston, we have a good following and usually get 40+ entries every other week at our races.

I have that many Zs show up at my house.

However, it would have been nice to have at least six people show up at my track every other week.

Nice track Tigger. We run races every other week with the following classes:
Novice Sedan
Super Stock Sedan
Open Sedan
F1
XRay M18

We have a good following and run a point series. I might see you in Vegas for the PN Series Finals. PN is doing their race here this weekend.
