RE: RC18B HAS RISEN
I wonder if AE will sell the parts to convert a T or MT to a B?
I wouldn't mind the conversion, I already have Da Buggy body by BRP and like it alot.

i wish they would make pin or bow-tie tires the size of the 18mt tires, i love the truggy look too, get a 18mt and a CP 2.0 body with the 18b and you got a 1/18 truggy!

if you guys get rccaraction they lately posted a little project of making tiers. you cut the part you need or want off the tire, then the parts you need or want use tire glur to glue thime back together, and if you don't like the set up once glued, use acitone (nail polish remover) and a qtip and put the acitone on the qutip, and little by little work on the glued tires to unglue them

i was reading that but i dont think it would work for me, i want the look of the MQ pin tires so i dont want to chop them to make them look like 18t tires. but i was thinking of doing this with some old 1/10 st tires.

Do the rc18b and rc18mt have the same gearing? I know the mt is 55-10 but I havent found the buggy's yet. Then I could just use the tires from the mt and it will just be the same thing. mt +b = tg
I kinda want to keep the buggy body and wing look i like that. I just want to add some v- tread tires to it.

RE: RC18B HAS RISEN
Just got one 2 days ago. Found out (with my LHS guy) that the differences are the shock towers, tires and body. To convert into a T is change the shock towers and get a body. Change the tires if you like as well.
Gearing is the same between the T and B. The MT is the only one that has different gearing. I guess because of the large tires. The MT has a 60 tooth spur while the other 2 have a 55 (I think) spur gear in them.
I've never driven a T or an MT (although I wanted an MT when I first saw them) but the B is a blast to drive out of the box. Fine for what I want to do...basically chase the dog around the house and give him some exercise. The B jumps pretty good too and the pin tires that come on it grip enough that it will flip on concrete and in the grass during aggressive driving.

I dont think so, at least not without modifications. The shock tower is made so that the wing will bolt onto it. Looking at the T/MT rear tower it doeslook possible to mount it, but the mounts will be farther apart and you would have to drill new holes in the wing for the wider mounting.

It doesn't look that great, it looks kind of weak and heavy.

no they don't. my local track had it out and i won, i wanted to be differnt so i got the b also. they tore it down cause we have to run the same gearing. it is printed wrong in the manual. it say the same as mt
