mLST vs. RC18MT vs. MQuake (pics!!!)
Here is the newest addition compared to the 18MT and Quake. You can see it is clearly longer and wider then both, the Quake is the only one close in height. I have to say, the LST seems in a league all by itself. It makes you wish that Associated 'shrunk' the MGT, and Duratrax 'shrunk' the Warhead, or even the Thunder Quake. I think I want a Minizilla and I am done for a while. I can't wait to see more trucks like this soon, and I especially can't wait for some 1/18 nitro mts!
I didn't get a chance to drive the LST, but I will get a road report tomorrow. Enjoy the pics!

Just wondering, will the mini lst tires work with the rc18mt? That looks like it would add a few extra cm of ride height right there!

Can the mini quake be jumped awesomely without bottoming out kuz the dual shocks. Hows about a 3 foot jump, about 6-7 feet a air? Would it bottom.

I tell you what, I was at the track driving my Savage the other day when one of the the guys at the LHS brought out a Mini LST, and it was pretty awesome! Three diffs, two motors, synthesized radio that can switch to all six AM channels, and great over-all looks.....I need one, now.
You guys on this forum probably know much more about them than me. I have never owned anything of this scale other than a TLT, but the truck looks like a winner in my book. [sm=thumbup.gif] I understand that they even have motor and battery upgrades, already.
CEN Mini-Madness is supposed to be faster out of the box, but the MLST was sailing through the doubles on that 8th scale track with no problems.
LHS wants $200.00 for one, but I looked on Ebay and found that you might get one for less if you can bid at the right time. [8D]

I'd like one too, but they should include some aluminum and higher torque motors kuz i heard if you only ran one motor the thing would suck. I know i'd buy it with these upgrades.

raptordd,
Nice pics.
Although I posted the following photo, along with other comparison photos on the other thread, I'll post it here as well since there are no CENs on this thread shown next to the MLST.

Guess what?
I should have a mini-LST in my hands RIGHT NOW. 7:59pm
But I was stupid and went to get some McDonald's and got to the store 15mins after (6:15pm) it closed (6:15pm) [:@]
Had to pick up my brother from school, so that added to the lateness.
*goes to beat up 'lil bro*
now I have to drive bacl to the store tomorrow (takes my 1h) and spend the extra $10 on gas.
*wonders if it's a sign*
at first wanted to get the nintendo/mariokart bundle for $170+, then figured I'd get this instead.

If it makes you feel any better, I spent an extra $20+ to get it from a LHS. I can't write that I spent extra money on gas since I stop by just to chat anyway. The good thing this time around was that they had the weight diff fluid that I've wanted for my mbX5.

How about not hijacking this thread and starting a new thread for your 18mt questions!?
I have beat and raced my 18mt for a while now. It is pretty strong out of the box. The only 'aftermarket parts' I have and recommend are some CVD's (e.g. MIP), unless you like scowering your track for dog bones after racing.
Also, I bought the AE steel turnbuckle kit. I had a problem with the stock turnbuckles popping off of the ball mounts and I also wanted to adjust camber to a degree or two negative (can't adjust stock turnbuckles). This kit also allows you to set toe-in on the steering linkage as well. Think that kit was $18 or so. That's it.
