Default New to R/C and the forum... sharing pics of my new toy...

I'm not really new to R/C, but I haven't had one since I was very young. (used to have RC-10's and Clod Busters) anyway, a few of my friends are into it, and after seeing a friend playing with his new Team Associated mini, I decided to get one. After doing some reading, I chose the Mini-LST. I've only had it 2 days now, and haven't taken it outside. (5" of snow) but I can't wait. Seems pretty quick in stock form. I'm reading all the posts on the brushless motors tho, I may go that route later on. I'm waiting to see how the aftermarket parts selection goes...

waaayyyyyyyy to clean for my liking!!!! lol

Well done on the best choice of 1/18th's!!!! I must say it's the best mini i have owned. Goes over anything! If you can, get the ball diff from MIP and stick it in the centre tranny, and ALMOST lock it(locking it completely makes my gears crunch when i give it full wang!), you will have loads better traction that way. Go in the snow dude!!! I would if it ever snowed here, just make sure you dry it out properly afterwards!! There is another post with someone in the snow with a MLST. Have a look. Most of all HAVE FUN!!!

Where can I get this? I was reading another thread about people gluing the center diff, and talking about something called spool? I didn't think there was any serious parts out for theLST (like the center diff)

I do need to look for another charger.... the 5 hour thing is lame.

I just ran my LST with a friends Team Associated mini 18. Only, he had a Mamba 8k motor. WOW. That thing was amazing fast, on the stock battery. I'm looking through all the threads about what motors people are using, and howto upgrade the diffs.

Why not just race the full-size MT's? That's fun too.

ORIGINAL: golfcarterforlife

I'm really happy with it so far. Punchy down low, and pretty quick top speed. Lots of fun to climb over things with it. I just wish the front and year diff's were adjustable. They are way too loose.
