Default # of cells with NiMh

I very new to brushless I know nothing! I see people using 11.1v lipos why can't you use more cells with NiMh to get 11.1v? I understand that you would have to make it fit... but would it work the same?

You still wouldn't get the same run times, and think about how much it would weigh.

I run 7 cell Gp1100 nimh packs, I bought two at [link]http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com[/link] for I believe it was around 42 dollars, and they make my mamba comp-x in my MSF fly, fast as anyone would ever need a 1/18 to go, around 50's. so I got two good packs made how I wanted them to fit nicely for less than one li-po that is harder to fit, worse to charge(not really just gotta be more careful)...dont get me wrong I love li-po for my 3-D foam planes, but in a car I dont think they are needed at all...just my two cents
