no brushed motor has a chance against a bl especially if you run more than 5 minutes on a track I have tried everything in my mlst even dual hi maxx bl motors nothing will run with the 9200 c 4 not even my comp x people say they dont have enough torque I own 4 different mamba systems and the comp x and the c 4 will smoke the lower kv motors geared for top end they still wheelie and 15 minutes on the track sure beats 5 with the dual hi maxx motors I could backflip the tripple at my track the cheaper route isnt always better I will stick with my comp x though 40 out of 45 races in the #1 spot sure says something

I know of a system much better then any Mamba or Dynamite C4....

As far as your whole race winning comment, you know how clothes don't make the man right...
the motor does not make the driver.

Doesnt the C4 have a bigger can thn the mamba therefore providing more torque??
I can buy a mamba 6900 package for $200 at my LHS would this be a better option even though it costs $50 more??
Cheers.

I have the comp X package and I will try it in the mlst before I put my larger AMMO motor in. I read someone say that it got hot and that would make sense because it is a 280 size motor. The AMMO I have is a 380 size motor and yes runs cooler and has more torque.
Poomaster, what pinion do you run? Will the stock pinion fit the shaft on the mamba motor?

I said Mamba Max because they only make a 6900 motor for the max, 6800 for minis.

I would think that motor would be too big if its for a 10th scale. Could we see a pic of it outside the box, preferably next to the MLST?

Would somebody please give me a link to a good Ammo Brushless motor... And a ESC that will work with it. Sounds like a good system. I searched it on tower hobbies and got about a million (maybe not that much) different motors... What do all those numbers mean in the name.. Like one said Great Planes Ammo 24-33-4875 In-Runner Brushless Motor, what does the # mean. Thanks

oh... yeah , the 6900 is only available in the mamba max, all their motors are like 100 or 200kv more than the 1/18 mamba, except the 8000kv mamba and the 7700 mamba max, the centrifugal forces must be too strong in the 1/10 motor to have 8000 kv....

ive been thinking about getting some kind of shock boots, cuz my shocks are threaded shocks and dirt and crap gets stuck under the spring and on the threads... ive bought these
http://www.noveltyballoons.co.uk/pro...33&sb=5268a_1-
im hoping that the '160' means its 1 inch in diameter and 60 inches long, when fully inflated... so it should be around like 1/2 inch diameter unstretched, which is just nice for the mlst springs, i hope...

the stock mini lst pinion fits the mambas fine I did not even change the ratio on the comp x be prepared to do some suspension tweaking though pants fit the man bottom line there is no 1/18 scale motor 300 size or smaller that will run with the comp x 8000kv x 11.1 volts equals 88,000 rpm no motor of its size can yank thay number of rpms period no matter what you put it in mini t, mini lst, micro rs4, etc the comp x will burn up anyother motor in top end easy no need to argue dont be sceptical cause you dont have one the hobby shop sells them I will blow away anything anywhere on the track when I have a fiffteen to twenty mph advantage over you do the math 4900 kv motor x 11.1 volts equals a whole lot of distance between you and the lead lap I am not going to product bash because I have been accused of doing so before but buy a 4900 and a comp x and have a cop shoot the cars with a radar gun the comp x will be close to 20 mph faster with the same truck with the same ratio torque matters in tractor pulls but in mini stuff it aint noticable you might gain a milla second or 2 out of a corner or 2 with good lines but when my rc 18 can smash a 9 second lap that a sedan with lipo and bl can only pull high 12s on I think it may just be luck is this sentence long enough or should I go on cause clearly every thing I say will be pecked at but when everyone can say they have about 300 thousand dollars in toys and about everything most hobbyshops stock including atleast 12000 different parts for their stuff just in case, people come to me instead of going to the hobbyshop I have 2 50x125 ft onroad sedan courses 3 dirt tracks and a indoor micro and mini track but heck what would I know eat my dust

Poomaster, I am still having a hard time believing the Comp X package doesn't get hot in the MLST. I have one that came out of my X-Ray M18 and it was crazy fast but it was no where near as heavy as the MLST. It has to turn 3 diffs. I am going to put it in as soon as I can and see what happens. I believe you, I am just saying its hard to believe.

naaah i dont think he mentioned anything about getting hot
so you said that no motor can spin as fast as a 8000kv on 11.1v lipo, yet you say a truck with that setup will be 20mph faster than a 4900kv motor on 11.1v?

nitro _ burner,
if you pay $200 for a mini brushless you are getting seriously ripped off. I got my Tekin mini rage 8.0 mini brushless system/package for $144 and the C4 9200 mini brushless is only $40 ive seen and it fits in an 18t. I like the tekin ESC better than the Mamba b/c it has a plastic case instead of shrink-rap.

yup you can get the comp x package from bpp for 105.99 from tower for 119.99 shop around before you spend I got the castle creations pheonix 45 and a comp x for 120 delivered and that is a 150 dollar speedo by itself but I chose it cause it can handle some serious voltage and not even flintch doesnt ever even get warm little bigger than the 25 though

the mamba 6800KV is only like 5-8mph faster than the stock twin frenzy´s, but it have a lot more torque and can get to the top speed faster, man I know you are having a hard time believing this, but thrust me, after a 40 minute run o a 2 cell lipo, the mamba is at 130fº, I dont know why but the mamba motors on my rc18t get to 170fº or more, but in the mini lst no more than 130fº.
