I'd wait and drive it first and see how long the plastic balls on the wishbones hold up..... My M18t wishbones and ball's wore out in two battery packs on a dusty track, not quite what I would term a basher.
It was a really nice truck to build so i would recommend it to anyone.

No gear cover, that's another downside, I was forever picking small stones out of the spur. In the end I got hacked off, took the radio gear out and shoved the xray back in the box.
Xray stuff is definatley aimed at racing rather than at bashing.

RE: Anyone own the XRAY M18MT ?
I've got a Savage nitro with an STS 28 engine in it, a mini LST, a Tamiya dark impact buggy and an XRAY M18MT and the truck I have most fun with and get most enjoyment from is the XRAY. It's a well designed, well put together excellent performing piece of kit. My MLST breaks something everytime I use it. I've been through countless diffs and wheels ever since I bought it. I upgraded to the Insane motors and burned out two ESCs and had to change all my connectors to Deans. The Savage breaks every time use it. I've been through countless diffs. When it's running great the STS engine is fantastic but it's one thing breaking after another. But that's nitro !
I thrash the little XRAY M18MT round my garden and nothing has broken. Tthe ball diffs are ace after the gear diffs of the other trucks. Yes the servo it came with was duff but it was replaced immendiately without question under warranty. Yes the wheels come into contact with the chassis and bodyshell at full steering lock but this can be dialled out on the transmitter and these are minor gripes compared to the major problems with the MLST and the constant grief of nitro.
I can't comment on LIPO I'm afraid as I'm still running standard motor. But with 1400 intellect batteries it absolutely flies. I've not had a problem with stones etc getting into my drive train but it may be just a matter of time. Either way the XRAY is a top notch piece of kit. It needs a couple of refinements but it shows the other manufacturers the way to go bigtime.
