Default Anyone own the XRAY M18MT ?

Looks like the best mini out there for bashing. So does anyone allready own one? Also what would be a good brushless setup for it?

i've got the M18T and its awesome!!! i want to convert it to the MT but they aint got no stock in at my LHS to do it!! the only mods i got are the ally turnbucles, Mamba 8000kv combo, and ally shocks, and i made up my own 1100NiMh batteries. i treally flies. i am yet to see a mini faster than this thing!!the downside of it not being a MT is it cant go over much, it is more of a racer. but i recon with the MT upgrade to look like the one you got in your post, it wil be good, maybe even better than the Mini LST(.............naaaah, i doubt that!!! i got it and t rocks!!).

Team Xray is pretty good value for money i can guarantee it. the kit is AWESOME. such easy instructions, took me just over an hour to stick mine together. it is pretty sturdy too. the only drawback i have is that there is no gear cover, but this has not hindered me yet. also the ball and cup a-arms tend to pop off once they are a bit worn out. i sorted that out with a washer.

i think it will be a good buy. go on, get one and give us a progress report!!!

The 18MT is a great basher. For a good brushless set-up, go for a Mamba or a Tekin Mini Rage. [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXKYN8&P=ML]This would be a good choice[/link], anything faster might be a little too powerful for just bashing around.

Ehh....I wouldn't go that far, it's more of a racer. It's way smaller than the MLST, and parts are hard to find and expensive.

I would say that the m18t is a racer and that the m18mt is a basher

The 18mt isnt a basher, its the EXACT same thing as the m18t but it has 4 shock towers and 4 more shocks, as well as bigger wheels and tires. That's it.

Thats a terribe set up, the c4 is overpowered, especially for a truck. The motor depends on where your running, but there is alot of choices.

What else would need to be changed to make it a basher?

Well, the whole chassis was designed for racing, so I wouldnt reccomend too much hard core bashing. However it may work well, I also hope to order one soon. What battery will you be using.

All that is left to do is to paint it and install the electronics.
It was a really nice truck to build so i would recommend it to anyone.
Also I love the golden shocks that it came with

I'd wait and drive it first and see how long the plastic balls on the wishbones hold up..... My M18t wishbones and ball's wore out in two battery packs on a dusty track, not quite what I would term a basher.

i might, but since i saw there was no gear cover for dirt racing or anything, i decided i probably wouldn't get it.
