This has been a great thread. At times I wished there was one exactly like it for the new guys into fast electric boating

Here is my opinion.
The best mini I have had so far is the CEN ME16MT. It comes with a set-up that handles a 540 size motor. It also uses a standard size servo and a full sub-c battery pack. Low center of gravity and 2.2 1/10 scale 12mm hex truck wheels. It also comes with one of the best radio's I have ever seen in a sub $200.00 RTR truck.

man , I just seen this thead and had to reply ! several years ago I began buying rcs (rcns just the coolest thing on earth ) I swear I had everything and still have a few from the rc18b-t , minit&b , mlst2( what a huge pain but when running good lots of fun ) , m18 , mini quakes and several other minis all within a year ... nothing was as fast , durable and cool as my brushless rc18b , just my feelings on minis that I had to share ... I wish to this day and probably will forever that I wouldnt have ever got rid of her ...

Yeah I had a Mini-T at one time that I traded on here to get into helis and I wish I never let her go. But I bounced back and got two mini-t's now. One brushless and the other is just a roller that needs a motor. I'll probably use that one for spares once I start breaking stuff. But yeah, so much fun and I think now that I have another mini, I'll never let her go. 1/18 cars/trucks are the best. Thank god for RC hahahaha

Iv been racing 1/8 gas for a few now and just seemed like my mini days were so much easier from prep time to just getting bout for some speed laps in a parking lot ... the 1/8 racing very sophisticated but fun as well ... right now the only mini I have and is awsome is my tekin8000 mini baja and have all to convert to minit ... I need to replace the esc , that things a blast ...

What about the min Slayer and brushless E-Revo from Traxxas? Both look fantastic. 1/16 scale.

A buddy of mine said he just read in one of the latest mags, that Traxxas was coming out with a 1/16th brushless Revo (?). Anyone read or heard about this?

Loads of great advice here - thanks.

As a complete newbie to RC cars I bought a cheap and cheerful Radline 1:24 Detour truggy and I have to say I was surprised at its ability for such a small machine. The good news though is I now have the bug to get something bigger and better......next a 1:18 electric - one day the Petrol Baja

Just checked out that site you recommeded TRX1 and it is a useful site but I am based in the UK and was looking for someone over here. I decided to use [link=http://www.radiocontrolledmachines.com]Radio Controlled Cars[/link] and have not been let down so far.

Any other tips of what not to buy for nitro newbie is very welcome, thanks

Hobao and ofna are the same company. I have the same trug, but converted to electric. Engine should push this little trug around fineee.
