Crazyrcer

I took apart my Mini T's tranny today since it has been sounding pretty crunchy. I found quite a bit of this gold colored dust. Is this some kind of lube? Or is it just plain old dust. Second question: if it is a lube I certainly don't have any more to refill it; should I just replace it with grease? Should the tranny even be filled with grease? It almost looks like it is designed to run dry.

Please put some type of lithium grease back in it(it will save your gears) The gold dust is the coating that was/is on the top shaft. I went through a few of them so I bought the mip lightened shaft and I havent had a problem since.
