mini lst servos
I know you can't fit the hs-81mg servos without modification in the mini lst. Is there any procedure to make it fit. Has anyone done this before? The power and the price is better to go with the 81s and not the hs-65mg.

Nitro,
You will be hard pressed to fit the HS81's even with modifications to the chassis. The CAW chassis is considerably longer, allowing room for the larger servo mounting holes. The problem with the HS65's is the odd size on the output shaft. The stock servo savers will not fit these servo's. So far I have yet to see someone come up with a feasable way to use the HS65's. So far the only servo that is a known drop-in replacement is the JR241. The JR241MG's are most popular because they have metal gears and are very strong and durable for a micro servo. As a bonus you can use the stock servo saver setup, or any aftermarket replacement that is a direct fit for MLST. Problem is that they are very expensive. You could get the standard JR241's for pretty cheap though and drop them in. Then, if the gears ever fail. you can pick up the metal gears for about $20 per servo and upgrade them.

RE: mini lst servos
Absolutely lovin the CAW axles. Running 2.2's makes all the difference. I did ditch the truck version of the Dirt Hawgs for some of the Buggy Dirt Hawgs and super nitro mesh wheels. I will keep the large dirt hawgs and stars for serious off-roading once we have some decent diffs to use. With those wheels and tires I stripped my B&S gears in about 10 minutes, as well as stripping a servo (again). That's the 3rd time I have stripped gears in one of the servo's, the previous two failures were still running stock power and wheels/tires! I definately see the need for stronger servo's.

I really don't want to upgrade the chasis to another aluminum cause I want a carbon fiber chasis. I want to make the truck as light as possible. If I was going in that direction I would also buy the monotunning wide track conversion. Then it would be a huge 1/18th

Is there a special servo saver I can buy for the hs 65s?
What can I do about the steering slop? Has gpm come out with anything yet?

i know the kimbrough savers work on hs81's, i wonder if they also work on the 65's? its kind of a hit or miss thing looking for these servo savers for me, couldnt find anywhere on the internet that sells them, went to my lhs, and picked up the only pair of these left
