Default parts for a rc18t

I just bought a rc18t at my LHS for $15 it only had the basics (frame, body, a-arms, diff cases, driveshaft, support brace, shock towers, and front and rear hubs w/ outer axles.) I picked up a lot parts for it off another racer at my local track (diff cups and gears, tie rods, dogbone axles, and full ball bearing set, spur gear, and tires) for $6. Ialso picked up a Hitec HS-56 micro servo for it. that was $30. what else do i need? this is my first 1/18th, i've been racing 1/10th buggies and trucks for a coupleyears now. I'm on a small budget so stock parts are mostly what i'm looking for.

I've got the manual but I've got another question. brushed or brushless? I could get a brushed motor for $10 or I could buy a used mamba brushless motor(minus the speed control) for $60. another question is how much is a brushless speed control?

I suggest you just buy new, in a combo you can actually get the motor cheaper. As for ESC's nothing can compete with the Quark. The 22a should work fine, however the 33a is reccomended for the "hotter" motors.

You can get better brushless systems for a lower price.
