RE: OFFICIAL MINI-T THREAD!!!
Here's a little update on my winterproject mini-T...I've got the MIP diff and the trinity wheel...they look great. It's just that the rear wheels are i bit difficult to push over the axles. The hole is too small...But anyhow I got them to fit and painted the beetle body...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI-T THREAD!!!
Hey whats up guys... I bought myself a Losi mini-T for xmas and it's sick... I'm used to 1/10th scale nitros and this is like a different world.. i can tear my house up anytime i want.. this thing goes anywhere... The only thing ive done so far is upgrade the battery pack to a 7.2v 10mah NiMh battery pack from a boat i have.. that really made this lil truck rip around.. i also got a front bumper and painted the body that came with it.. cant really see it too well in the pics but it's chameleon purple-green with a purple and black base.. came out good.. heres some photos. what would you guys recomend next.. oil shocks? cvds? gears? lemme know. thanks.

Umm dont buy plastic pinions, and they should help some. Its mostly you should change your gearing.

you should run a 17 or 18 tooth. and no the metel pinion wont melt the sper.

Suggestions on gearing? I've just left the stock set up. I was pretty sure I should change to a metal pinion but wasn't sure if it would melt the gear.

RE: OFFICIAL MINI-T THREAD!!!
Hey guys! Looks like a good official thread.
Just got a Mini T, and i have a bunch of aluminum on the way for it.
my question for you Mini T pros is: What is a good, yet semi cost effective motor/esc for the Mini T. I plan on making it almost entirely aluminum, so I will need the power to push it and would like to be able to wheelie and have a good top speed as well.
This is my first actual mini. I have a CEN mini madness, but it uses 1/10 scale electronics, so I am a comlete newb with these 1/18 scale electronics.
if someone could give me a suggestion or two it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

RE: OFFICIAL MINI-T THREAD!!!
Thanks to the guys that recommended CheapBatteryPacks.com. My 2 packs came in quick and really made a difference in the stock performance of my Mini-T, so much so that my gear train is startinf to whine!!! LOL! I cant wait for my other order of hop up parts to come in to make it ever faster, which is a good thing, because I dont think these gears/diff are gonna last much longer!!!

RE: OFFICIAL MINI-T THREAD!!!
This thread seems like a great hop up/ customization thread, and I'll review it when making my own upgrades.
I started a new thread (see radio range questions) concerning my problems with my recently purchased Mini T. Overall, I'm still happy with it.
Being a noob, I thought that the Mini T would be a good starter car, and rather than buying an already beefed up model, one with which I could learn about the hobby in general by doing the upgrades and mods myself.
