RE: OFFICIAL MINI-T THREAD!!!
I'm the guy who returned his radio.
Turnaround was fast enough, the service guy was earnest, and they sent me a brand new radio, but the radio is no better than the original. I get about 40 to 50 feet, then no response. I've been flying RC for 6 years, so I'm pretty sure it's not operator error. I'm not going to send it back a third time, I'm just resigned to the fact that I'll have to upgrade the radio sometime.
If I had known about this issue before, I would have gotten the Mini T Pro ARR (comes with all the upgrades stock) for $30 more and bought a good radio.
What I might do now, because the cost of new electronics is going be about the same, is buy a Pro Pulse for $100. It's radio has a reasonable range and I'll simply swap the electronics back and forth.
Later, I'll get a receiver and ESC for the other truck and have two running trucks.

Sorry to here that. But can you tell me about this pro pulse and where can you get one? I was thinking about saving my pennies and buying a spec DX 3.0 that one come with the extra reciver and I think you can ad one more to it so you would be able to run three cars on one radio I think But I am not totaly sure. But can you tell me more about the radio you talked about and where to get one? Please and thanks Eric

RE: OFFICIAL MINI-T THREAD!!!
You can get a pro pulse from your local radio shack!
"be able to run three cars on one radio"
Read the specs on that radio and if it has a "Modle Memery" you can run multiple cars it will say what the most is. This means that you run one car on slot one and trim it perfect then get another car go to slot 2 drive it and save the trims and so on. Then you dont mess with many controlers and trims...

Hello, im going out to buy a mini-t baja tomorrow january 31, i have heard of problems with range. Does the baja have problems with range or is it the regular rtr's with the range problems?

The short range problems were with the Mini-T RTR's, which have an AM radio. The Baja has an FM radio, I believe, and I've not seen any problems posted concerning those.

Hello, I was thinking of getting a Mini-T and maybe even hopping it up to race. Besides ball bearings and oil-shocks, what would be good hop ups? And what is the best BRUSHED motor you can get for the mini-t? I can't afford a brushless system because some jerk on ebay scammed me for $125 for a mini rs4....[sm=crying.gif] I hate people like that.

C.U. L8R, why don't you get the Mini T Pro ARR instead of the base Mini T? It comes already hopped up for only $30 more. You really should check it out. It doesn't come with any electronics, but I had to change the stock electronics in my Mini T RTR anyway, cause they sucked.
If I only had $100 to spend for an RTR, I'd get a Pro-Pulse (which I have). The radio of the Pro-Pulse is more than decent for the price. I'm going as far as I want, with no radio issues (vs. less than 50 ft. with the Mini T radio).
Or check out the Baja, basically the Mini T with a few upgrades. I think it has an upgraded radio.
I believe you'll be disappointed in the stock Mini T RTR radio.
