Default hacker brushless for rc18t

I picked up a hacker brushless motor for $15(brand new never opened) and I just want to know if anyone has heard of this specific one? It's an E-Flight E3-49 4900k mini car and heli motor. also I was wondering if anyone is looking to get rid of a brushless speed control?

E-flite is not hacker but the motor you are talking about sure sounds like a hacker. Thats good news! you need to talk to -Inverted- as he is the expert on hacker [8D]

As rcMitch said, Hacker Brushless manufactures the E-Flite series, the motors themselves are great, however the motors have fairly low KV which is why they arent the prime option as far as cars go.

You got a great deal, they run for about $55. Without li-po though you probably wont be extremely impressed with it's performance, they are made for planes where high KV ratings aren't required.

get a quark 33a pro-car so all you have to do is get a new motor when you upgrade cause the quark is the top-of-the-line mini esc.

if you are going to go with li-poly batteries, maxxamps.com has some good quality packs that are cheap and I think they have some direct fit rc18 li-poly packs. Just like -inverted- said, without li-poly batteries, it probably won't be all that crazy of a motor.
