I have $300.00 to spend on a mini!
What would be a good racer/basher!
I'm going to race and i want something to bash with!
A list of parts would be grate!
Thanks!!!

I have an 18T and I throw it off my house with my mamba... I'd get a vid of the 18T jumping using the peak /\ of the house but I don't have a videocamera

Doahh, what wt. shock oil are you using? Mine will slap the ground on small jumps. I'm using 50wt. I wish I had a videocamera, i'd make a bunch a vids, but I don't have $500 to spend on a camera.

you so get the alloy steering set up, the steel turn buckles, threaded shocks, some kind of metal diffs, mip cvds, and maybe some alloy shock towers

Reciever andd radio: You could use one you already have
Bat: Reedy mini-max 1100mah 6 cell bat

Rc 18t or rc 18mt, or a mini lst. I would personally go with the 18mt for the amount of hopups available.
Congrats on the better spelling *nitstklr72*, still not perfect but your getting there!!! LOL!!!

The only reason I started capalizing things is because I need to get use to it again for school. Wew.[&o] I would rather get a 7 cell ib pack than a 6 or 7 cell gp pack. I just got the gp pack cause I needed one for a race and my lhs had it, so I bought that instead.

RE: Racer/Basher!!!
go with a duratrax vendetta its cheap ($175). its fast stock. its very durable (i built a ramp and jumped it over the railing of my 8 foot deck and it went about 3 feet over the railing and landed on flat ground no problem). its 4 wheel drive and has great handling. it comes stock with 75mhz futaba radio equipment. its completely ready to run (it comes with everything even the 8 alkalines for the tx). it has oil filled fully adjustable shocks. aluminum shock tower, drive shaft, front brace and shock caps (there may be more but cant think of any). it is fully upgradeable with lots of parts (not as upgradeable as some others but it still has alot out there). it even has a 2 year stress tech gaurentee which cover all the major structural parts on the entire car. the only downside to the vendetta is that it comes with a 6 cell NICD instead of NIMH which come with most of the other models you are looking at (but that is a easy $15-20 fix with a NIMH pack). everyone always bashes duratrax and the vendetta but thats just because they have never driven one. as tony the tiger says "THEIR GREAT" haha lol!!! (yes, if you are wondering i used the same comment in another thread i just dont feel like retyping all of it when i have the same thing to say)

RE: Racer/Basher!!!
any mini can bash with the right mods, but not all are equal on the track. i have a factory team rc18t and i have never broken a part racing or bashing. throw some monster tires (or street treads depending on what you want to do) and it will be a great basher, but at the track its great. i think getting a racer and then bashing it is better than getting a basher to race. just think of it like trying to race a hpi savage versus a truggy, the truggy still has great suspension travel and can take jumps, but on the track it will positively dominate the regular monster. i hope that sounded right, not really in the best state to be thinking right now.

RE: Racer/Basher!!!
I wouldn't say the 18t is a basher. Mine can barely handle the track without breaking something. Sooo, i'm retirining it and i'm going to race my mlst. It's a lot stronger and doesn't break everytime I use it.

RE: Racer/Basher!!!
actually at my track a guy drives a minit with a trinity 17t, it jumps cool, but is jumps with any little rock on the way, if you go mlst you are not having that problem.
